Drive To Rafting Station, Rafting 3 Hours & Wildlife Safari Tour

After breakfast, head to Charaudi, a bustling village on the banks of the Trishuli River, about two and a half hoursโ€™ drive (eighty kilometers) from Kathmandu to start your day rafting adventure.

The Trishuli is an amazing river for whitewater rafting, featuring fantastic rapids, some of which are technical, and stunning scenery with amazing rock formations. Viewed from the river are typical villages with people dressed in traditional clothing going about their daily lives on terraced rice fields. Avid bird watchers will find a multitude of both native and migrating birds.

The Trishuli is the most popular river in Nepal for rafting, and itโ€™s very convenient since the put-in points are easily reached by road.

After arriving at Charaudi, the raft-put-in point, get dressed appropriately and assist with loading the gear and inflating the rafts. Following the safety briefing, the raft trip starts out slowly and enjoyable so that participants can get a sense of how the raft moves and practice rowing together (for paddle rafters) and obeying commands as a group. The scene is thrilling as the river scenery takes shape.

For lunch, stop at a convenient location on the beach. This will usually be a cold meal consisting of sandwiches, salad, juice, and either tuna or sardines.

After lunch, get into the waiting car and travel for two hours to the Royal Chitwan National Park. The Mugling Highway connects Chitwan to Kathmandu, which is located 196 kilometers away. Along the banks of the Trishuli River, the drive passes through picturesque countryside and terraced rice fields.

Upon reaching the park entrance, visitors are greeted by naturalists and representatives from the Respective Hotel. Then transported to the Jungle Lodge, which is located within the Royal Chitwan National Park, via landrovers, canoes, and elephants.

The managers of the Jungle resort will assign the rooms and tents to the guests and brief them on the various activities available.

Take an elephant-back jungle safari in the late afternoon to explore this temperate forest and take pictures of the wildlife, plants, and animals. The greater one-horned rhinoceros, sloth bear, wild boar, gaur (bison), four different kinds of deer, two different kinds of monkeys, two different kinds of crocodiles, leopards, and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger can all be found in the Chitwan National Park, along with more than 400 different species of birds, a wide range of reptiles, including pythons, and numerous smaller mammals.
