Itinerary

Day 1: Oradea - Vladeasa hut (1836m) by minibus or by train and then a walking session - 6 hours

Stop At: Oradea, Oradea, Bihor County, Northwest Romania, Transylvania
Oradea is a worldwide known art nouveau architecture jewel. In fact we are talking about a mixture of baroque, secession, neo classic, eclectic, neo Romanesque, rococo styles which have regained their old face with the help of European funds.

Day 2: Vladeasa Chalet - The stone of the robber - 6 hours

Stop At: Vรขrful Vlฤƒdeasa, Romania
Vladeasa Peak 1836 m - the second tallest peak from Apuseni Mountains - from here it begins a 6 hours walking session with a wonderful panorama to "the stone of the robber"

Day 3: The stone of the robber - Stina de Vale - 6 - hours walking session

Stop At: Stana de Vale, Stana de Vale, Bihor County, Northwest Romania, Transylvania
Stana de Vale is a nice and quiet resort located in Apuseni Mountains at an altitude of 1110 m. It is most known for winter sports.

Day 4: Stina de Vale - Poeni Peak - Radesei Fortress - 6 hours walking session

Stop At: Cave Rฤƒdeasa, Budureasa, Romania
The Radeasa Fortress cave is located at the spring of the Somesul Cald river, being in an advanced evolution stage. It perfectly shows the way in which caves turn into gorges. The cave has a 15 m tall and 7 m wide oval-shaped entrance, into which the Radeasa stream enters. The single gallery is a 212 m long tunnel, with ample halls and chimneys going all the way.

Day 5: Radeasa Cave - Somesul Cald circuit - 6 hours hiking session.

Stop At: Padis, Padis, Bihor County, Northwest Romania, Transylvania
Radeasa cave circuit is a one among the most spectacular circuits from Romania. You have the possibility to walk through Somesul Cald river admiring the spectacular slopes which are all around you.

Day 6: Radeasa Cave - Padis - Glavoi - 5 hours hiking session

Stop At: Padis, Padis, Bihor County, Northwest Romania, Transylvania
Padis is the main point for starting tours in Apuseni Mountains.It is situated at an altitude of 1100 meters high.
Duration: 2 hours

Day 7: Glavoi - Ponor Fortresses - Glavoi - 6 hours hiking tour

Stop At: Fortress of Ponor, Padis Romania
Fortress of Ponor is one among the most spectacular from the world a true masterpiece of nature that impresses with steep walls over 300 m, hiding springs, waterfalls, tunnels and a beautiful cave with 14 lakes, whose portal reaches 74 m, the cave the highest entry of Romania. Cave complex consists of three huge sinkholes (karst crater-like), with 300 m deep and more than 1 km in diameter. Basically there are 3 grand amphitheater of rock, which communicate with each other through portals particularly spectacular, with only one natural entrance Valley Fortress

Day 8: Glavoi - Valea Galbena - Focul Viu aka Living Fire - Glavoi.

Stop At: Padis, Padis, Bihor County, Northwest Romania, Transylvania
Living Fire Glacier is a cave sheltering the third largest block of ice in the country (after Scarisoara and Bortig Pit, also located in the Apuseni Natural Park), with a volume of 25,000 m3. It is a small cave, consisting of two rooms, the first and largest being occupied by the huge block of ice.

Day 9: Glavoi - Padis - Virtop ice cave - Scarisoara Ice cave

Stop At: Vartop Cave, Arieseni Romania
This Cave, near the village Casa de Piatra (at 12km of Garda de Sus), is magnificent by it numerous stalagmites and stalactites. It is one of the less caves not arranged that can be visited. At the entrance there is a guide that give you a hand/head lamp and tells you the visiting rules. It is prefered to go with a small backpack or with no baggage so you could sneak through a narrow corridor and wear boots with non-slip soles due to the high humidity inside.

Day 10: Scarisoara - Bears Cave - Oradea by minivan

Bears cave is considered the most beautiful cave from Romania.Since 1980, the Bearsโ€™ Cave was opened to the public, quickly becoming the most popular attraction in the area. The cave offers four galleries to explore including the Scientific Gallery and the Candles Gallery. The Bones Gallery is the most impressive with its skeletons of 140 cave bears that are still embedded in the stone floor.
