  • Day 1 Arrival In Lhasa

      Arrival In Lhasa

      Upon arrival in Lhasa, our Tibetan guide will greet you at the airport or train station with a white Hada. You will then be transferred to your hotel where the guide will provide a brief overview of the itinerary and important information for newcomers. It is recommended to rest and acclimatize to the Tibetan plateau upon arrival.

  • Day 2 Lhasa Tour - Potala Place, Johkang Temple, Barkor Street

      Lhasa Tour - Potala Place, Johkang Temple, Barkor Street

      Start your day with a visit to the Potala Palace, offering stunning views of Lhasa Old Town. Explore the history and treasures of the palace, including the gilded burial stupas of past Dalai Lamas and the meditation cave of the 33rd Tibetan king.

      After visiting the Potala Palace, you will explore Longwangtan Park at its base. Enjoy a unique view of the palace and participate in traditional Tibetan activities.

      In the afternoon, visit the Jokhang Temple, the center of Tibetan religion. Inside, see the statue of Buddha Sakyamuni at age twelve. Outside, observe pilgrims prostrating in front of the temple. Explore Barkhor Street, where you can join pilgrims and locals in doing kora and browse the old market.

      Join your guide at a vibrant indoor Tibetan tea house in Lhasa. Enjoy traditional sweet tea and learn about Tibetan culture and daily life.

  • Day 3 Lhasa Tour - Drepung And Sera Monastery

      Lhasa Tour - Drepung And Sera Monastery

      In the morning, visit Drepung Monastery, the largest in Tibet, once home to over 10,000 monks. Explore Coqen Hall with your guide for insights into Tibetan Buddhism and key figures in its history.

      Visit Loseling College (or equivalent) to learn about Tibetan monksโ€™ daily life and study habits. Explore their dormitories for a firsthand look at their living conditions.

      In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, one of the โ€™great threeโ€™ Gelug monasteries of Tibet, to observe the Tibetan Monks Debate (15:00 - 17:00, Monday to Saturday). Your guide will explain how monks participate in these debates to gain knowledge and progress in their academic studies.

      Spend the night in Lhasa.

  • Day 4 Lhasa To Namtso Lake

      Lhasa To Namtso Lake

      Today is the day to visit Lake Namtso! Start your journey by heading north from Lhasa, passing through the expansive prairie in Damxung. Here, youโ€™ll see nomadic herds of yaks and sheep, as well as the picturesque Qinghai-Tibet railway set against snow-capped mountains.

      Cross the Nyenchen Thanglha Mountain Ranges and stop at Lagenla Pass (5190m) for a breathtaking view of Namtso Lake. Descend to reach Namtso Lake, one of Tibetโ€™s โ€™Three Holy Lakesโ€™.

      At Namtso Lake, take a leisurely walk around Tashi Dor Island and the lakeshore. Climb to the top of the hill on the island for a panoramic view of the lake, which looks like a vast blue sea surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

      Explore the islandโ€™s magical stone pillars, peaks, meditation caves, and Buddhist holy sites with your guide.

      After visiting Namtso Lake, you will return to Damxung via the mountain pass and 

      stay overnight there.

      Namtso Lake Back To Lhasa Via Yampachen

      After visiting Namtso Lake in the morning, return to Lhasa through Yangpachen, known for its hot springs and stunning Tibetan plateau views. Enjoy the scenic drive and appreciate the beauty of Tibet along the way.
