Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu Hotel Sightseeing (Thamel, Karsquar)Thmanudu Darba

Once you arrive at the airport in Kathmandu, one of our representatives will meet you there and guide you towards your hotel. On the way, he will brief out the summary of Nepalese cultures and beliefs to help you adjust to a new cultural environment. When you reach the hotel, freshen up and take rest. Your guide will meet you at your hotel. He will point out some preliminary information about the trip, and then, you will start your sightseeing.

For today, Thamel and Kathmandu Durbar Square are enough places to visit. Lined up by a never-ending chain of handicraft and souvenir vendors, the busy streets of Thamel is the most animated market of Nepal. From the classic Thangkas to the therapeutic singing bowl, Thamel has all that extra prettiness to entice a visitor.

Through Thamel, we will walk for about 20 minutes to Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as the Basantapur Durbar Kshetra. The classic buildings with intricate carvings of godly images and lifestyle patterns show the complexity of the design. There are over dozens of such structures, built in a pagoda style. While most of todayโ€™s physical architectures date back to the 16th century, the original structure was built in the 3rd century.

After sightseeing, you will return to your hotel.

      Day 2: Kathmandu

Kathmandu Sightseeing (Pasupatinath Buddhanath,Patan Darbarsquar chovar kritipur)

Pashupatinath is the largest temple complex in Nepal .The main temple, pagoda-styled, has a gilded roof, while the walls are plated in Silver. It is the temple of Guheshwori, dedicated to Shivaโ€™s consort Sati devi, that will engage your mind body and soul into the realm of peace.

Pashupatinath is visited for an unmatched mix of religious, cultural and spiritual experience. It is located 3 km northwest of kathmandu on the banks of Bagmati river .Other shrines, around the temple premises, include Deupatan, Jayabageshori, kutumbahal, and Gausala . However, there are altogether 492 temples, 15 shivalayas (shrineโ€™s of lord shiva) and 12 Jyotilinga(phallic shrines) within the frontier of Pashupatinath, which gives you an inkling of the how fascinating this overall edifice is.

It is one of the 7 UNESCO listed World heritage sites in kathmandu valley. Visit Pashupatinath Temple for an out of the world experience!!

Bouddhanath,The gigantic historical masterpiece, Boudhanath, dominates the skyline with its massive spherical dome-like Mandala. Also, it is one of the largest unique structures stupas in the world.

It is located at the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu valley. In terms of grace and purity, no other stupas in Nepal come close to Bouddhanath; the monument is perfectly proportional .It is the hub of Tibetan Buddhism. Bouddhanath stupa is surrounded by the colorful homes ,Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, and the vendors, outselling the beads and souvenirs.

Swayambhunath, also known as Monkey Temple, is one of the holiest Buddhist chaityas in Nepal. This stupa is the oldest of its kind in Nepal and has numerous shrines and monasteries, built around its premises.Resting on a hillock 3 km west of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath is a good place to catch the panoramic glimpse of the overall city. The glory of the kathmandu valley is said to have started from this point .The stupa sits atop the hill; so, while climbing up the steep stairs, it puts more pressure on the knees. However, there is an easier option as well. You may steer up (drive) the snaky trail. It is, perhaps, one of the best places to witness the religious harmony in Nepal.

The sleeping buddha , Buddha statue of the west side of swayambhu, the huge gold plated vajral thunder boltset is one of the not to miss monuments.

Find the peace and prayers on the little hillock of swyambhunath.

In the dark of the morning, leave Kathmandu to watch the glorious sunrise over the mountains from Nagarkot. The hills of the Nagarkot are adorned with the tiny settlements and dense forests.
