For the first time the word " Hissar "("Hisor"), as the name of a settlement, city or administrative center is mentioned in the 11th century. Then this word denoted the settlement, where the state troops were located, and the craft developed. In ancient times, the city was the center of the most independent part of the Samanid state.

The former residence of Bek, the Governor of Bukhara Emir, is located 26 km West of the capital. The fortress with walls 1 m thick, with loopholes for guns and cannons was guarded by guards. Inside there was a swimming pool and a garden. The main entrance was reached by large staircases and terraces lined with brick. To this day, unfortunately, they have not survived, as, indeed, the entire building of the Palace. The only thing that remains of the fortress is a monumental gate of burnt brick with two cylindrical towers, between which there is a pointed arch, so most of the gates of Bukhara were built in the 18th-19th centuries. But even this fragment today looks very majestic and impressive.

Initially buiding "Kohi Navruz" (Palace of Nowruz) was planned as a teahouse, but during the construction become into a palace. "Kohi Navruz" has - 12 unusual halls, each of which is made in a special style. The complex has an art room, a banquet hall, a lounge room with carved stone trim, plaster room decorated with mirrors, two VIP rooms. At the same time building is ready to place 3200 guests.

Market Hall "Mehrgon" in the capital of Tajikistan Dushanbe attracts the attention of tourists not only the variety of products offered here, but also its unique architecture. The market, located in the center of Dushanbe, due to its architectural building is considered one of the most beautiful in Central Asia. The three-storey market building was built in 2014. The roof of the building is supported by columns made in the Oriental style. Part of the roof of the market is made in the form of a glass pyramid, so that the building from above freely penetrates sunlight.

Iskanderkul is a mountain lake in Tajikistan on the Northern slopes of the Hissar range in the fann mountains.

The name of the lake Iskanderkul comes from "Iskander" - so in the East called Alexander the great, and "Kul" - which in Turkic languages means lake. That is, it is the lake of Alexander the great.

According to legend, during his conquests, Alexander the great stopped for a halt on the shore of the lake, and his favorite horse Bucephalus caught a cold after drinking the icy water of Iskanderkul. When he recovered, he climbed a high rock, and threw himself into the water. Alexander waited a few days, and leaving at the lake grooms, took his army. And since then, at the full moon on Iskanderkul you can see a snow-white horse that comes out of the water to graze on the picturesque shore
