Day 1: Arrival in Accra

Day 2: Eastern Region

Stop At: Tetteh Quarshie Avenue, Tetteh Quarshie Ave, Accra, Ghana
Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm is located at Akuapem Mampong, in the Eastern part of Ghana. Tourists get to experience a demonstration of the actual planting of cocoa seeds, the processes undertaken by the farmer, the harvesting and drying of the seeds and pods. The tour guide walks tourists through the farm whiles pondering on the various stages of cocoa processing into raw cocoa powder to the stage from which the Ghanaian and other industries manufacture the worldโ€™s favourite chocolates, ice creams and many other chocolate products.

Stop At: Aburi Botanical Gardens, Aburi 32km (20mi) north of Accra, Accra Ghana
Aburi garden is a very beautiful and popular destination found on the hills of Aburi in the Eastern part of Ghana, a few kilometers away from the main city, Accra. The garden is made up of hundreds of plants which have a lot of medicinal uses, some which are used to cure many illnesses. They are used to make different spices and are also used for beautification purposes. There is also a carved tree which looks like a real dead tree which represents the struggles of life. Most of the trees were planted by some colonial masters, and other important person leaders around Africa.

Day 3: Cape Coast

Stop At: Ancestral Slave River Park, Assin Manso Ghana
Assin Manso Slave Camp and River is a site used for slave auction during the transatlantic slave trade five hundred years ago. Slaves were kept in the camp for abusing and sale purposes, and for them to take their last bath before they were matched to the slave castles along the coast.

Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest of the castles built by European powers in today Ghana. It began as a trade lodge constructed by the Portuguese in 1555 on a part of the Gold Coast, which later became known as the Cape Coast. In 1653, following Swedenโ€™s conquest of the Cape Coast, the Swedish Africa Company constructed a permanent wooden fortress for trade in timber and gold. A decade later, the fort was reconstructed in stone when the Danes seized power from the Swedish. The fort then passed through the hands of many foreign powers.

Day 4: Cape Coast

Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
The Kakum National Park was established in 1932. Kakum National Park is a home for lovers of nature. The Park is made up of mostly undisturbed virgin rainforest and is one of the famous national parks in Ghana. It protects plant and animal treasures of the African tropical forest. Trails provide self-guided day hiking opportunities where you may sight some of the over 200 bird species represented: the parrot, bee-eaters, blue plantain-eaters, hornbills, and kingfishers. The dense vegetation provides cover for globally endangered species such as the forest elephant and bongo - the largest forest antelope, as well as various types of monkeys.The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides a treetop view of the beautiful forest.

Stop At: Elmina Castle, Elmina Ghana
Elmina Castle was established by Portuguese in 1482 as Sรฃo Jorge da Mina (St. George of the Mine) in Elmina, Ghana (formerly the Gold Coast). Elmina and Elmina Castle was the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea, so is the oldest European building in existence below the Sahara. It was first established as a trade settlement but later became one of the most important stops on the route of the Atlantic slave trade.

Day 5: Axim

Stop At: Nzulezo - Stilt Village Tour, 1 Beyin Road, Beyin Ghana
Nzulenzu is a village built on stilts located in the hearts of Beyin, a few kilometers away from Takoradi city. The people of Nzulezu live on a lake that links to the ocean along the coast. This tour site is very interesting as tourists get to learn the history and culture of the people living in that community, and experience their lifestyle through a walking tour.

Beyin Boat ride is an experience for tourists to have a complete feel of the local boat ride in the western part of Ghana. the boat ride leads to the Nzulenzu Village built on stilts.ment for relaxing and rehab.

Day 7: Volta Region

Stop At: Shai Hills Resource Reserve, Akosombo-Tema Rd Ghana
Shai Hills is a good site to see many species of birds and other insects. There are other animals like Zebra, Ostrich and deer. There are many caves which used to serve as a home for many native centuries ago.

Cedi Bead Factory will be the next destination right after Shai Hills Resource Reserve. It is a site for learning bead making and checking out already made beads displayed for purchase.

Stop At: Adomi Bridge, Ghana
Adomi Bridge is a very beautiful bridge located at Akosombo. Its surrounded by a man-made Lake and islands. The Lake generates electricity for Ghana, Togo, Burkina Faso etc.

Day 8: Volta Region

Stop At: Afadjato (Mount Afadjato), Ghana
Itโ€™s a beautiful tourist site in the Volta Region and the highest mountain in Ghana, welcoming over thousands of visitors around the world. It takes 1-2 hours to climb the mountain but also depends on the individual. We will go mountain climbing and enjoy the view of nature from the mountain top.

Stop At: Wli Waterfalls, Hohoe Ghana
The Wli Falls is known to be the longest/highest water fall in West Africa. The fall is locally known as Agumatsa waterfalls, which simply means โ€œAllow Me to Flowโ€.it is located approximately 280km from the capital city of Ghana, Accra. Individuals who would like to swim in the fall can do so.

Stop At: Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary And Cultural Village, Tafi Atome Ghana
It is a forest and a habitat to over 700 Sacred Mona Monkeys population that live in a protection virgin forest which is in a โ€˜Uโ€™ shape form. Travelers get to learn about the monkeys and also feed them. It is an interesting town observing the co-habitation of people and monkeys.

Day 9: Greater Accra Region

Day 10: Greater Accra Region

Stop At: W.E.B. DuBois Center, 1 Circular Road, Cantonments just few meters from the US Embassy and close to Ghana International School, Accra Ghana
The center is named after William Edward Burghardt Du Bois who was an African-American civil rights activist and later became a citizen of Ghana in the 1960s. He is often known as the โ€˜Father of Pan-Africanismโ€™. The centre is where he once lived with his wife and where they are now buried. It houses his personal library, a small museum with a handful of personal effects such as his graduation robes. The mausoleum is surrounded by Asante stools, a seminar room, a restaurant, a gallery, an amphitheater and a research centre for Pan-African history and culture.

Stop At: Independence Square, Accra Ghana
Kwame Nkrumah commissioned the Independence Square, also known as Black Star Square, to honour the visit of Queen Elizabeth II. Independence Square is a vast, empty expanse of concrete overlooked by spectator stands which can seat about 30,000 people. The Independence Arch was an inspiration to other African countries vying for independence and the Flame of African Liberation. The roundabout before the square contains in the center, the Black Star Gate also known as the Black Star Monument which was built in 1961.
The vast area, built under Kwame Nkrumah, is designed for huge events and military marches and commercial events such as concerts and fashion shows, which take place throughout the year.

Stop At: Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, High St., Accra Ghana
Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is also known as the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. It is the last resting place of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This museum is dedicated to him to honour his dedication in liberating Ghana, formally known as Gold Coast, from colonial rule.
The Museum houses the personal effects and publications of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and pictures showing his life history with some of the most famous people of his time.

Stop At: Center for National Culture, 28th February Rd Near Nkrumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum, Accra Ghana
