      After enjoying your breakfast, continue your journey deeper into the heartland to visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This ancient marvel, attributed to King Kashyapa (477-495 AD), dominates the surrounding plains of the dry zone, showcasing ancient engineering and artistry. Enclosed within its walls is a fortified town sprawling over 70 hectares, featuring a moat, ramparts, and extensive gardens, including the renowned water gardens. Explore the celebrated frescoes portraying the "Heavenly Maidens," located in a sheltered enclave of the rock and accessible via a spiral staircase.

      Following your exploration of Sigiriya, head to a village where you can experience a canoe ride and a bullock cart journey.       After enjoying breakfast, embark on a thrilling Jeep Safari adventure at Minneriya National Park. This park is highlighted by the expansive Minneriya Tank, offering diverse ecosystems ranging from dry tropical forests to wetlands, grasslands, and areas formerly used for slash-and-burn agriculture. The park’s main attraction is its population of elephants, as it forms a crucial part of the elephant corridor linking Kaudulla and Wasgomuwa national parks. During specific periods, you can witness up to 200 elephants here as they migrate. Additionally, the park is home to a variety of other mammals such as sambar deer, spotted deer, sloth bears, and leopards, with chances to spot macaques and purple-faced langur monkeys. Moreover, Minneriya is celebrated for its rich birdlife, hosting numerous species including endemic ones like the Sri Lankan hanging parrot and the crimson-fronted barbet.       After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Kandy, which includes a visit to The Temple of the Tooth, also known as Dalada Maligawa. This temple, dating back to the 16th century, predominantly exhibits 19th-century architecture. Upon entering the shrine, visitors will pass through a moonstone step, adorned with a stone representation of the Indian goddess Lakshmi, and frescoes depicting Buddhist beliefs about hell. The upper levels of the temple hold the revered relic of the tooth, enclosed within gilded iron bars. Adjacent to the tooth relic sanctuary, a hall showcases golden Buddha statues and contemporary paintings illustrating the life of Buddha and the spread of Buddhism in the region.

This journey from Kandy to Nanuoya is renowned for its picturesque scenery, winding through the heart of the hill country amidst lush greenery. Passengers are treated to panoramic views of meticulously cultivated tea estates, dense foliage, and rugged valleys as the train winds its way through narrow tunnels. Keep an eye out for Tamil tea pickers adorned in vibrant saris among the tea bushes. After this memorable train journey, you’ll be picked up from Nanu Oya Railway Station and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

      Following breakfast, embark on a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, famously known as "the city of dawn," situated at the highest elevation in Sri Lanka, approximately 2000 meters above sea level. Its tallest peak, Piduruthalagala (2555m), can be seen from the town, making it a sought-after holiday destination for both locals and tourists alike.

      Nuwara Eliya is also renowned as the heart of the tea country, providing the opportunity to visit a tea plantation and factory to observe the process of brewing the famous "Ceylon Tea." Additionally, approximately 1.5km away lies the Seetha Amman Temple, believed to have been constructed at the spot where Ravna held Sita captive, as recounted in the Ramayana. This modest temple houses a collection of statues, including several lordess Kali images.

      After the city tour, proceed with check-out and transfer to Beruwala. En route, there will be another visit to a tea plantation and factory in Nuwara Eliya.

      After breakfast, you have the option to stay at your beach resort and enjoy the 5 star facilities or get on a short excursion to visit the Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda, which is just a 30-minute drive away. Established in the early 1970s, this hatchery stands as the oldest Conservation and Research project in Sri Lanka. Originally initiated as a community effort to preserve the biodiversity of the southern coast, it has evolved into a comprehensive hatchery and rescue center dedicated to managing endangered turtle species. Here, teams tirelessly work to study, care for, and protect rare turtle species.

      After your visit, proceed to Balapitiya, a mere 10-minute drive away, and continue your adventure with a boat safari along the Madu River. Situated near Galle in the southern part of the island, this scenic river offers a sanctuary for nature enthusiasts. During your relaxing boat ride, be on the lookout for crocodiles and water monitors gliding beneath the surface, while endemic birds of prey soar overhead. Along the way, you’ll make a stop at Koth Duwa, a small island adorned with a beautiful temple and a Buddha statue.

      After breakfast, you have the option to stay at your beach resort and enjoy the 5 star facilities or get on a short excursion to the Galle Fort. This historic quarter, enclosed by the 17th-century Dutch Fort, has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a leisurely stroll along the ramparts from Point Utrecht bastion to Flag Rock bastion, enjoying a splendid view of the ancient harbor, once known as Tarshish in the Bible. Along the way, you’ll pass by notable landmarks such as the District Court and the original entrance to the Fort, before arriving at the Dutch Reformed Church, dating back to the 17th century. Continuing onwards, explore the New Town located north of the Fort, which suffered significant damage during the 2004 tsunami. Here, you’ll find the renowned International cricket stadium, now rebuilt.
