      Guatemala-City - Flores - El Mirador - Isla Flores

Early in the morning, you will board your flight to the department of Peten. Once there, our team will take you to breakfast, while we wait for 8 a.m. to board the helicopter that will take us to the impressive archaeological site of El Mirador. There we will ascend to the two main structures of El Mirador: the complex of El Tigre and the emblematic pyramid of La Danta. El Tigre rises to an impressive height of about 55 meters, while La Danta reaches approximately 70 meters, making it not only the tallest Mayan temple in the world but also the largest man-made structure in terms of volume. Prepare to have your jaw dropped as you climb this monumental structure and marvel at its grandeur.

To enhance your experience, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the top of the pyramid, immersing you in the secrets and mysteries of this incredible site, nestled near the Mexican border.

In the afternoon, we will return to our hotel located in Flores Island.

  • Day 2 Isla Flores - Tikal - Isla Flores - Guatemala City

Once inside the park, get ready to let your imagination run wild. Immerse yourself in a mysterious world with more than 3,000 structures, only 30% of which have been discovered. Learn about the life of the Mayan aristocracy as we delve into their palaces, values, social structure, and religious beliefs.

After a 4 to 6-hour excursion, depending on your pace, enjoy a delicious Guatemalan meal at the parkโ€™s best restaurant. Discover the captivating history of the Maya, their scientific and mathematical achievements, war strategies, arranged marriages, and religious practices. Witness their remarkable architectural feats, an example of why this civilization remains one of the most significant in human history.

In the afternoon, return to Flores Island, where you will have some free time to walk on your own. At the appointed time, you will be taken to the Mundo Maya airport to board your flight to Guatemala City, where our team will be waiting to take you to your hotel.
