Itinerary

Day 1: Osaka/Kyoto - Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Takayama

Stop At: Kanazawa, Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Hokuriku, Chubu
Explore Kanazawa City freely by yourself (arrival: 13:30 pm, departure: 14:30 pm). One of the must-visit places we recommend is 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. You will be able to see the famous Leandro Erlich's "Swimming Pool" installation art and any other interesting arts! (No admission fee included in this tour fare), (The museum is closed on Mondays) Lunch is provided in the bus on the way before the arrival.

Stop At: Shirakawago, 517 Hatogaya, Shirakawa-mura, Ono-gun 501-5629 Gifu Prefecture
The bus takes you to Observation Deck (Arrival: 15:40 pm) which can command a panoramic view of Shirakawago village, and then to the village, Shirakawago. Strolling through the hundreds-years-old thatched houses, feel how those in the past lived there.
The bus leaves Shirakawago at 17:40 pm for the final destination of Day 1, Takayama.

Day 2: Takayama

Stop At: Takayama, Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, Tokai, Chubu
Free time all day! Explore Takayama. Miyagawa morning market is held every day, where you can buy local fruits, vegetables and foods. Sanmachidori is an old street where old houses from the Edo era stand. Takayama Jinya as a government office, which was placed by Edo government to control directly their territory, reminds us of samurai period.

Day 3: Alpine Route Day Tour

Stop At: Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Ashikuraji, Tateyama-machi, Nakaniikawa-gun 930-1406 Toyama Prefecture
Enjoy Alpine Route Day Tour! This tour is not accompanied by a tour attendant whole day, so you need to visit each point by yourself.

The followings are sites you will visit and highlights:
Kurobe Dam: Water release of Kurobe Dam, the dam lake surrounded by beautiful nature
Kurobedaira and Daikanbo: 360-degree panoramic views of Alps
Murodo: The highest point in Alpine route, the beautiful volcanic lake, Mikurigaike, Alpine plants and animals
Bijyodaira: Old-growth forest of cedar, beech. Breathe aroma of trees!

Please keep in mind that the express bus for Ogizawa Sta. departs once a day at 7: 40 am from Takayama Sta., and the last express bus for Takayama Sta. from Toyama Sta. departs at 18:55 pm.

Day 4: Takayama - Matsumoto Castle - Mt. Fuji 5th Station - Lake Kawaguchi

Stop At: Matsumoto Castle, 4-1 Marunouchi, Matsumoto 390-0873 Nagano Prefecture
After departure from Takayama at 8:45 am, the bus first takes you to a national treasure, Matsumoto Castle. Enjoy its exceptional beauty and take photos (Arrival: 11:05 am, departure: 11:35 am).
On the way to Mt. Fuji, lunch is provided in the bus.
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Mt. Fuji 5th Station, Narusawa-mura, Minamitsuru-gun 401-0320 Yamanashi Prefecture
Upon arrival at Mt. Fuji 5th station, you are at about 2,300 meters elevation. Enjoy a view of the upper part of Mt. Fuji and the landscape below (Arrival: 15:30 pm, departure: 16:10 pm).
After that, the bus takes you to the final destination of Day 4, Lake Kawaguchi.

Day 5: Lake Kawaguchi - Tokyo

Stop At: Lake Kawaguchiko, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun 401-0300 Yamanashi Prefecture
Enjoy free time until the departure. Riding on an excursion ship at Lake Kawaguchi or panoramic ropeway, seeing the whole Mt. Fuji across the lake would be fun and will give you unforgettable memory.

The bus leaves there at 17:00 for Tokyo.
