      Todayโ€™s adventure takes you to Cotopaxi National Park, a 2.5-hour drive from Quito. The park is also home to wild horses, and with a bit of luck, you may even spot an Andean Condor. As you stroll around Limpiopungo Lagoon, your guide will share insights into the high-altitude flora and fauna. If youโ€™re up for it, trek to the refuge Jose Rivas at 4,800m or venture further to the glacierโ€™s base. Alternatively, opt for a 2-hour horseback ride through the National Park. In the afternoon, return to Quito.

Your first stop is in the highlands of Santa Cruz, where you can observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat and explore the impressive lava tunnels in the area. After a nourishing meal, your guide will accompany you to your charming hotel in Puerto Ayora.

      Exploration continues on the Galรกpagos Islands. Aboard a modern yacht, along with a small group of 15 fellow travelers, embark on a 1.5 to 2.5-hour journey to one of the following islands: Bartolomรฉ, Seymour Norte, Plazas Sur, or Santa Fรฉ. The island visited will depend on park permits and the boatโ€™s schedule, with consideration for your preferences. Each island boasts a distinct landscape and unique flora and fauna. For instance, Santa Fรฉ Island is home to the Santa Fรฉ iguana, while Seymour Norte is inhabited by colonies of sea lions, frigate birds, and blue-footed boobies. Enjoy a warm meal on board the yacht, and in the afternoon, snorkel at a nearby bay or beach. Youโ€™ll return to Puerto Ayora around 4-5 pm after an exhilarating day.

Feel free to purchase your own bag of this renowned Galapagos coffee. In the afternoon, relax and explore Garrapatero Beach, taking leisurely walks along the shore, kayaking in the shallow waters, and keeping an eye out for marine wildlife such as sea lions, iguanas, marine birds, and Sally lightfoot crabs.

      On your free day, there is much to explore on Santa Cruz Island. A must-visit destination is Tortuga Bay, known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos. A 45-minute walk (approximately 1.5 miles / 2.5 km each way) through an Opuntia cactus forest leads you to this scenic spot. Here, you can sunbathe, swim, snorkel, and encounter marine iguanas and Darwin Finches. Kayak rentals are also available. Alternatively, snorkel at Las Grietas, the top swimming hole on Santa Cruz Island, located near Puerto Ayora town. Crystal-clear pools are nestled in a picturesque setting, sandwiched between high volcanic walls, providing a close encounter with the marine wildlife of the islands.
