AYUBOWAN-! Welcome to Sri Lanka, the land like no other, and 12 days of explorations, showing you the best of the cultural adventure, the lush green tea estates and waterfalls, the amazing wildlife, and the beautiful golden sandy beaches.

DAY PLAN:

Upon arrival at Colombo CMB airport, you will meet your tour leader and you will be transferred to your hotel (we can pick you up from any hotel in Colombo or Negombo as well). The ﬁrst destination will be Negombo coastal town (20min away from the airport), which has long been known as the most popular beach in Sri Lanka, famous for its golden sandy beach, food, and fun.

For day one, we haven’t planned any activity, thus you are free to arrive in Sri Lanka at any time. If your flight arrives early in the day, relax at the beach and pool of your cosy hotel.

Evening, you may have a walk along the seashore while enjoying the beautiful sunset and the pleasant evening atmosphere of the beachside.

Early morning visit to Negombo fish market and enjoy the capture the busy actions that take place under the sunrise.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards the Royal Kingdom of Kurunegala. Along the way through lush green rice paddy ﬁelds and coconut plantations, don’t forget to stop at a roadside stall to try out some king coconut water. Kurunegala is Named after the giant elephant-shaped rock, there is a temple on the top and also a big Samadhi Buddha statue overlooking the city of Kurunegala.

Thereafer drive to Sigiriya and check-in to your hotel.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a hot cup of Sri Lankan tea or a coffee, you will take a wonderful journey across the stunning Sri Lankan countryside towards Sigiriya city, which is the central point of the cultural triangle on the island.

DAY PLAN :

Early morning, you will visit Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE), since it’s the best time to capture the beautiful scenery of sun setting. King Kasyapa (477 – 495 BC) built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. Sigiriya refuses to reveal its secrets easily; in fact you have to climb a series of vertiginous staircases to reach the top.

Thereafter, you’ll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It is a great opportunity to get close to unique local culture & life style of Sri Lankan people. It will start with a Tuk Tuk ride and a catamaran boat ride across the lake before reaching the farmer’s house where you will experience a Sri Lankan curry cooking demonstration & authentic countryside food.

Evening, you will join with an exiting hiking to Pidurangala Mountain to capture the stunning sunset. You will have a peacefull time sorounding with cool and brezing environment under the shinny red sky.

In the morning, you will be headding towards Kandy, the capital of the last Sinhalese kingdom. It’s set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforests. Kandy is also famous for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE).

DAY PLAN :

En-route to Kandy, visit the Royal Cave Temple (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE). Dambulla has the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 meters over the surrounding plains and houses 5 cave temples with some of the most unique and signiﬁcant historical drawings

Upon arrival to Kandy, visit the Temple of Tooth Relic (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE) and Kandy view point

Evening, you’ll enjoy a walk around Kandy’s busy city centre, including a tour of the Central fruit & vegetable Market.

In the morning, proceed to Kitulgala, which is a major ecotourism venue in Sri Lanka. It is a real paradise for those who love adventures.

Upon arrival experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. This activity is for anyone above the age of 10 years with safety gear, modern rafts, and a comprehensive safety briefing will be given by our white water rafting instructors beforehand.

The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable experience during your White Water Rafting Tour in Kitulagala.

Thereafter, trek to a natural rock pool which is extremely beautiful and a gift of nature where you will be able to experience sliding down an inclined 05 meter water fall with safety gear in to the rock pool, A confidence jump with safety to beautiful natural rock pool and Swimming in the cool and clean waters of the rain forest.

DAY PLAN :

Early morning (1.00am), start hiking to Adam’s Peak. It is a very exciting activity for many adventure lovers (NOTE: the activity is subject to cancellation due to weather conditions). If you desire to be on top of the world, trek up to Sri Lanka’s most recognized mountain of Adam’s Peak, the second-highest mountain on the island and one of the famous sacred sites in the Buddhist world as well. From a distance, this incredible mountain can be visible in a pyramid shape that rises impressively to a height of 2,243 m (7,359 ft.) The climbing of the mountain normally starts at night; ascent up 5000 stone steps to the top of the pyramid in time to witness a stunning view of the sunrise, a once- in-a-lifetime moment.

After breakfast, you’ll have a wonderful journey towards Sri Lanka’s tea region of Nuwara Eliya. It is often referred to as “Little England” because many of the buildings in this city retain from the British colonial period, such as the Queen’s Cottage, the General’s House, the Grand Hotel, the Hill Club, and the Town Post Ofﬁce.

Ella is everyone’s favorite hill country village due to the fact that it’s a wonderful nature-friendly location. The Nine Arch Bridge, a major tourist attraction in Ella, is a massive bridge built entirely of solid rocks, bricks and cement without using a single piece of steel.

Ella is a great place for walking and climbing and its most famous trekking route is “Little Adam’s Peak”.

In the evenings, you could chill out at the village center where there are lots of restaurants, pubs and also evening entertainments. Ella is a stunning location that anyone who is visiting Sri Lanka should not miss out.

After breakfast, depart from Ella towards Yala National Park, the largest and most stunning national park in Sri Lanka. Thanks to a river running through it, Yala National Park is divided into two sections. Because the river makes crossing to the other side difficult, Yala is really treated as two separate parks. But that doesn’t change the fantastic offerings! Encompassing a range of diverse ecosystems, the park has an impressive variety of wildlife, including sloth bears, leopards, and lots of colorful birds.

Early morning, join with a trekking to Ella Rock to capture the sunrise (optional activity).

En-route to Yala, stop at Ravana waterfall, another popular sightseeing attractions in Ella.

Afternoon, enjoy a wonderful 4x4 jeep ride searching for leopards and black bears hanging on trees or whispering through the bushes, crocodiles patrolling the river or baby elephants drinking water and playing around under the evening sunset.

Day 9 Sinharaja Rain Forest Camping

Sinharaja is a Rain Forest and a biodiversity hotspot which is located in south west lowland wet zone within Sabaragamu and Southern provinces of Sri Lanka. Sinharaja rain forest is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rain forest. It covers an area of 11,000 Ha of primary and secondary forests. This narrow strip of rolling site comprises of a series of ridges and valleys. More than 60% of the trees are endemic to Sinharaja Forest and many of them are considered rare. There is much endemic wildlife, especially birds but the reserve is also home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of butterflies & mammals and also many kinds of insects, reptiles and rare amphibians. This is one of the main reasons that UNESCO declared Sinharaja Forest as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1988 under the name of Sinharaja Forest Reserve. In 1936 Sinharaja Forest was first recognized as being the only considerable patch of virgin tropical rain forest in the Island.

After a fantastic journey through the coconut palms, mountains and waterfalls, you will finally arrive at the world-famous beachside of Sri Lanka. Hikaduwa is a delightful sandy beach that was a well-kept secret in the past, but now few restaurants and pubs are opening up to visitors. It’s a magnificent place characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of a perfect tropical beach.

DAY PLAN:

Upon arrival to Galle, walk through the Galle Fort listening to the creaks of wooden saloon doors and observe how European architecture mingles with South Asian traditions nowadays ﬂooding cultural enthusiasts on a global scale. Historical Galle Lighthouse stands proudly on the southeast tip of the fort

Afterwards, you’ll visit a turtle hatchery center where baby turtles learn to take their first swim and injured adults are rehabilitated back into the ocean.

Upon arrival at your hotel, you may grab a towel to relax on the beach while enjoying a cocktail or a chill beer under the shade of a palm tree.
