Itinerary

Day 1: Puerto Montt, Arrival – Puerto Varas

Stop At: Puerto Varas, Puerto Varas, Los Lagos Region
Arrival at El Tepual, Puerto Montt Airport. Upon arrival, meet with your driver who will transfer you to your hotel in Puerto Varas.
Free time to explore this charming city: the view of Osorno Volcano, blooming flowers in all seasons, delicious kuchen and coffee, artisan shops, kind people and amazing views.

Day 2: Puerto Varas - Lake Crossing - Bariloche

Stop At: Lago Todos Los Santos, Ruta 225 Km 66 Petrohué, Puerto Varas Chile
A unique crossing, sailing through The Andes Mountains across three beautiful lakes that are connected by four overland legs, from Puerto Varas in Chile to San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina. A journey that can enjoyed on any day of the year, exploring the beauty of mountainous landscapes that takes you through the most colorful region of the Patagonia. Arriving to Argentina in just one day, you have the option of extending your trip to two days or more with accommodation at the midway point in Puella and/or Puerto Blest.

Day 3: Circuito Chico Visit at Bariloche

Stop At: San Carlos de Bariloche, San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Rio Negro, Patagonia
In the Morning Includes Half Day excursion "Circuito Chico"
This half a day excursion allows you to know the city and its surroundings. Going along the southern margin of Nahuel Huapi Lake we head towards the west visiting the attractions of main touristic interest. The “Llao Llao” Hotel, “San Eduardo” Chapel, “Pañuelo” Port, “ López “Bay and the “Punto Panorámico” viewpoint., contemplating at every moment the stunning views of “The Andes” Mountain Chain. We will stop on our way at “Campanario” Mount to take some chairlifts to get to the top to enjoy the best panoramic view of the region, 360 º. (Not Included Cerro Campanario chairlift rate).

Day 4: Bariloche - Day is at leisure

Stop At: San Carlos de Bariloche, San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Rio Negro, Patagonia
Today you will have the day at leisure to explore on your own.
Bariloche is called the "little Switzerland" of Argentina, because many local families originally migrated from Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
You can explore Bariloche and enjoy some of the most attractive landscapes of Argentina, where nature combines forests and lakes with views of the snowy peaks. Also enjoy its exquisite cuisine, craft beers and chocolates.

Day 5: Transfer from Bariloche to Puerto Varas by bus line

Stop At: Paso Internacional Cardenal Samore, Villa La Angostura Argentina
After Breakfast (exact time to be confirmed) transfer to the bus station to board your bus line destination Puerto Varas, in Chile (duration 7 hours including customs formalities in the middle).
When arriving at the bus station in Puerto Varas, we will take you to the Hotel. In the afternoon, you will have time at leisure to visit the city.

Day 6: Puerto Varas - Chiloe Island - Puerto Varas

Stop At: Isla Chiloe, Isla Chiloe, Los Lagos Region
In the morning we pick up at your hotel in Puerto Varas for our drive to the island of Chiloé, which includes a nice 30 minute ferry crossing during which we can observe sea lions and maybe dolphins. Once on the island we continue south to the fishing village of Dalcahue. Visit and explore the beauties and culture of this beautiful small fishing rustic village. On Sundays we can visit an interesting local market in Dalcahue, where local typical crafts are sold. You learn a lot about how traditional life in Chiloe is and was during the last years. We continue our journey to Castro, the capital of Chiloe, to observe the traditional palafitos (houses built on stilts along the shore) and visit the majestic wooden church (an UNESCO World Heritage Site). We stroll through town and stop at the crafts market featuring wood and woolen products from the region. In the late afternoon we return to Puerto Varas driving along the eastern coastal road passing by several small fishing villages.

Day 7: Puerto Varas - Frutillar - Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt

Stop At: Frutillar, Frutillar, Los Lagos Region
In the morning, we pick up at your hotel to start the trip along the Llanquihue Lake, the second largest lake in Chile, and enjoy gorgeous views of the volcanoes Osorno, Calbuco, Puntiagudo and Tronador. We will pick you up from your hotel in Puerto Varas and travel to Frutillar, a charming village on the bank of the huge Llanquihue Lake. The village is noted for the German influence on the architecture developed by the immigrants who arrived around 1853. Here, we will take a walk to visit some restored colonial houses and see the strong German influence on the architecture. You will learn about the history of this picturesque town and the time of the first German settlers. Afterwards, we will visit the open-air German museum. Return to your hotel.
