  • Day 2 Zagreb - Ljubljana

      After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, youโ€™ll embark on a walking sightseeing tour of Zagreb, Croatiaโ€™s largest city. This tour will take you through the fortified Upper Town, the historical center of the city, and to notable landmarks such as St. Markโ€™s church with its multicolored roof, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre, and the University. Your journey continues towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. You will have an afternoon tour where youโ€™ll visit the cityโ€™s most significant landmarks in its historic center, including the picturesque Central Open-air Market, the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robberโ€™s Fountain. Dinner and overnight in the Ljubljana area. (Breakfast - Dinner)

      Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a departure towards Bled, a charming town located in the Julian Alps, considered one of the most stunning alpine resorts in the world. Surrounded by mountains and forests, Bled boasts an emerald glacial lake that seems straight out of a fairy tale. You will be visiting Bledโ€™s Castle, the oldest in Slovenia and one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country. You will then continue your journey towards the Plitvice Lakes area.       Breakfast at the hotel before heading towards the Plitvice Lakes, a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will walk around this site of rare beauty that will take your breath away. It features sixteen different lakes, each at varying levels, interconnected by a series of magnificent waterfalls in mesmerizing shades of blue. In the afternoon, you will be headed towards Split, where youโ€™ll embark on your MS Adriatic Princess cruise. Enjoy a delectable dinner onboard before settling down for the night in Split.       After breakfast on board, embark on a journey to discover the highlights of the Dalmatian coast. Youโ€™ll sail over to Hvar Island, renowned for its lavender fields that transform into a fragrant burst of color in early summer. You will depart the pier for a scenic walking tour of Hvar, the longest of all the Croatian islands, home to three towns. The largest of these, also named Hvar, served as an important harbor for Veniceโ€™s Adriatic fleet from the late 12th century through most of the 18th century. A thick-walled fortress overlooks the harbor and offers splendid panoramic views of the surrounding area. You will visit the center of Hvar Town which is a pedestrian zone.  Its streets and people converge onto an expansive piazza, the largest in all of Dalmatia. The piazza connects the older part of town to the newer southern side, which was developed from the 15th century onwards. As the day winds down, you will head towards Vela Luka on Korฤula Island, arriving just in time for a relaxing late afternoon. In the evening, savor a captainโ€™s dinner with live music. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the Adriatic Sea before embarking on a guided tour of Dubrovnikโ€™s Old Town. Surrounded by towering city walls, this world-renowned destination boasts iconic facades and has served as the backdrop for blockbuster films and TV shows such as Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and Robin Hood. Your first stop of the day will be on the island of Brac, which is known as the homeland of "Croatian marble." You may have already seen this ultra-quality limestone on famous buildings such as the White House in Washington DC or the Bundestag in Berlin. You will have a tour of the still-operating stonemasonry school in Pucisca which will offer you a chance to learn more about how this stone is shaped for eternity. Afterward, you will continue your journey toward Split where you will have a walking guided tour of Splitโ€™s famous Diocletian Palace. Built to house the Roman Emperor, the Palace grew into a city after Slavs ruined the nearby Roman town of Salona. Your local guide will help you discover the secrets of centuries past in what is today the vibrant core of Dalmatiaโ€™s largest city. Dinner at leisure and overnight on board in Split.
