ยญ You will be picked up from your hotel at between 8:00 a.m to 8:30 am, and head directly to purchase the Angkor pass. Afterward, we head to one of Cambodiaโ€™s jewels, the impressive Angkor Thom, which was the fortified "Great Royal City" built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. At the South Gate, we can see the imposing statue of Avalokiteshvara, which appears in the Tomb Raider movie. Next visit is Bayon temple, in Buddhist style and adorned with hundreds of faces made of stone, and also explore the Terrace of Elephants, former Royal Palace, Phimeanakas, Terrace of Leper King, and Baphoun temple, It is considered the largest Hindu temple in Angkor Thom city.

Then, we drive to Ta Prohm temple, which has been left in its original state and is partly overgrown with trees and huge roots. It was also used as a backdrop for the film Tomb Raider starring Angelina Jolie.

Enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant cooked by local chief, and then visit the most authentic village of Phum Preah Dak, where you can learn how the local people make palm cake and palm sugar.

In the afternoon, start to visit to the fascinating Angkor Wat, the largest sacred building on the planet and an icon of the Khmer civilization. It was built by King Suyavarman and is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. It contains hundreds of decorations that cover the walls and the longest bas-relief in the world. It is surrounded by a giant moat, and its five towers are part of the Cambodian flag, and from the top you can see the impressive and dense jungle.

Phnom Bakheng is only a temple of Angkor that is open until 6:30 pm, which means that you can watch the sunset inside the temple itself instead of just from the outside. Itโ€™s located up on top of a hill, which means you get an absolutely gorgeous view of the surrounding temples and countryside as the sun dips below the horizon. Transfer you back to your hotel.

  • Day 3 Siem Reap Tonle Sap Lake & City Tour
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Siem Reap Tonle Sap Lake & City Tour

You will be picked up at 2:30 pm from your hotel in Siem Reap and visit SATCHA is the first Cambodian handicraft center that incubates local artisans, mixing traditional knowledge with contemporary design to showcase Cambodianโ€™ talents to local and international visitors and to transmit these know-how over time while having a sustainable social, economic, and environmental impact, and then weโ€™ll go directly to the Kampong Phluk, flooded & fishing village of Tonle Sap lake, located just 21 kilometers from Siem Reap town. Once in the lake port, weโ€™ll take a local boat from the ferry to explore the famous floating villages of Kampong Phluk. There, you can see firsthand what everyday life is like for the many families who make their living primarily from fishing. Most families live on the lake shore in brightly colored houses on long poles, so the high-water levels are not a problem during the rainy season. Explore the flooded mangrove forest surrounding the area, which is home to a variety of species, including crab-eating macaques and 3,000 inhabitants. We will then take you to visit a Buddhist monastery built on an artificial island and enjoy seeing the sunset from a local boat on Tonle Sap Lake. Then we drive you back to your hotel or we can drop you off at the Old Market area.
