      Santiago is a mixture between the old and the modern, characteristic that we invite you to know. Our tour through Santiago will show the immensity of the city, its varied geography, and civility. We will guide you through Plaza de Armas, the main square of Santiago, where the cathedral, main post office, and city hall are located. You will be told about the origins of our city. The next stop is the civic neighborhood and the surroundings of La Moneda government palace. After that weยดll drive through some of the old neighborhoods of Santiago, like Republica and Concha y Toro, Later we will visit the eastern part of the city and weโ€™ll see the modern buildings and the changes that they have brought to the neighborhood.       We invite you to walk through the beautiful streets of Valparaiso, one of the main ports of Chile and named World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. You will be able to watch from its balconies the marvelous bay and the colorful hills that have inspired famous artists like painters, architects, musicians and ports such as Pablo Neruda. 

      We will discover the city, following the steps through the hillsides and the different artistsโ€™ lives.

      After lunch, we will visit the citu of Viรฑa del Mar, a coastal city neighbor of Valparaiso. Its beaches and boulevards surrounded with palm trees and beautiful parks have five the name of Ciudad Jardin (Garden City). Viรฑa del Mar is a popular weekend and holiday destination for people of Santiago, despite its cold waters due to the Humboldt Current. Overnight: Santiago Meals included: Breakfast

       HD Orongo Ceremonial Village and Rano Kau Volcano Excursion Today you will depart from the hotel towards Rano Kao Volcano. This fascinating deep crater holds a lake of freshwater entirely covered with totora (large reed). Located on the top of the crater we find Orongo, the center where each year the Tangata Manu or Bird Man ceremony is celebrated. These festivities currently take place during summer. There are more than 100 petroglyphs representing the God Make Make, the Tangata Manu, and the Manutara sea bird, among others. We will also visit the Ana Kai Tangata caves, which contain several paintings from previous centuries. We will then depart to the ceremonial platform Ahu Vinapu, well known for its architectural perfection. After the tour finishes we will head back to the hotel.       Drive to the restored Ahu Akivi with 7 Moais, built in the middle of the island. The legend tells us that these statues are representing the 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by the king Hotu Matua. Proceed to the unrestored Ahu Hanga Poukura. Then visit the topknot-quarry Puna Pau with its red scoria stone, where all the Pukaos were made.

      The Moon Valley is well known for its amazing geological stone formations of extraordinary beauty. Located in the Cordillera de la Sal, it represents an extraordinary attraction because of its resemblance to the moonยดs surface and its enormous natural coliseum. We will depart from your Hotel in San Pedro and head to the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt Mountain Range), very rich in minerals. We will first arrive at Valle de la Muerte  (Death Valley), a mountainous and sandy site with a particular geographical beauty. Itโ€™s salt formations look like sculptures and works of art. We will then continue to Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley), a small depression of the saline ground, containing some small, sharp-crested hills where once there used to be a lake. This unique place is famous for its natural mineral sculptures, one of them is Las Tres Marรญas formed by wind erosion. It truly resembles a lunar setting. There are also caves and mineral deposits of stone very similar to quartz. We will end the tour by admiring the sunset from La Gran Duna (The Great Dune) with its majestic display of colors.
