Accommodation

We will be accommodated in Hotel Thamel Park or a similar in Kathmandu, and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on a twin-shared basis. A single supplement will be served on request and cost an additional USD 200. Peregrine Treks will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, teahouses in some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also, note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and the trekking regions at lower elevations, but it might be challenging to find them at higher elevations.

The safety of our guests and staff is a top priority, and we are monitoring the evolving Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely. All of our guides are fully vaccinated to protect their safety and the safety of all visitors. We are taking recommended prevention and response measures, including: Our Tour Guides will wear a mask throughout the tour and gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures, opening/closing doors, and providing sanitizer to guests. Guides will take their temperatures frequently to monitor for fever and will not work if they are sick. After an illness, a guide can return to work after receiving a negative test for COVID-19 or having no fever for 14 days. Before leaving our dispatch, each Tour Guide will ensure that all surfaces in the vehicle are correctly sanitized and wiped down. Before any guest enters the vehicle at their pickup location, our Tour Guide will use a non-contact thermometer to ensure that anyone with a fever or traveling with others who have a fever (temperature must be less than 100.4ยบF (38.0ยบC)) does not enter the vehicle. The front seat will be off-limits to guests. If a guest jeopardizes the health and safety of another guest, a guide, or a partner employee or customer (e.g., refuses to wear a mask, refuses to abide by social distancing guidelines, etc.), they will be removed from the tour, and no refund will be issued. During the excursion, our Tour Guides will be the only individuals to open and close the vehicleโ€™s doors. Guests will wear a mask for the duration of the tour, except in locations where masks are not required. Guests are required to supply their masks. Guests without masks will not be allowed to take the tour, and no refund will be given. Guests under age five or medically compromised will not be required to wear a mask per CDC guidelines. Children ages five and over are required to wear a face covering. Guests will refrain from physical contact with our guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, or other patrons while maintaining 6-foot social distancing guidelines. At each stop, when guests exit the vehicle, our Tour Guide will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle. Upon returning to the vehicle, our Tour Guide will provide hand sanitizer or wipes for each customer. At the end of each tour, all surfaces inside the vehicle will be sanitized and wiped down. We will limit the number of guests on our tours to 8 people. We are expanding our communications about our refund policy to ensure anyone who is not feeling well will receive a full refund for the tour is canceled. Our leadership team will continue actively monitoring the recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and OHA and implement best practices accordingly. When you place your reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address so that if we receive notification that a guest has tested positive for COVID-19, we can contact all other guests on that tour. As always, we will communicate clearly and directly about our plans and activities to continue to offer our tours in the safest possible environment.

The representative will welcome you and transfer you to your Hotel in Kathmandu. The representative will give you a synopsis of our plans as you check into the Hotel.

      We will pick you up in the early morning and escort you to the domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport. Here, we catch a flight that will take us to the Lukla Airport in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The region is probably one of Nepalโ€™s most loved and frequented trekking regions. It takes pride in having the worldโ€™s highest mountain, i.e., Everest. The flight to Lukla is full of magnificent mountain views. As you land in Phakding, meet our remaining crew in Lukla for your journey. From Lukla, we follow a trail that drops to the Dudhkoshi River and goes up gradually along a well-marked path to Phakding. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Phakding.

      The days are going to get more interesting ahead. As we leave Phakding, we follow a trail through Sagarmatha National Park. We march ahead through a forested area enriched with various species of floras and faunas. We pass attractive Sherpa villages like Monjo and Jorsale on Namche. The trail from Phakding to Namche undulates up and down many times. It can be tiring, but the pristine air, amazing views, and the quest to reach the worldโ€™s top will keep you going. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Namche.

      Today, you are at Namche, which means you are already at around 3440 meters. Therefore, we stop and take our time to acclimatize in Namche. Namche Bazaar is a vibrant town in the Khumbu region. It is the only gateway to Everest, crowded with hotels, lodges, cyber cafes, shops, etc. After breakfast in the guesthouse, we hike up to Everest View Hotel. From here, one can get some close-up views of the mountains in the Everest region. You will be blessed with some fascinating views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Cho-Oyu, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Tawache, and many more. After exploring the place for a while, we return to Namche overnight. On the way, we visit a photo gallery, a museum, and a few Sherpa villages. Tonight, we stayed at a guesthouse in Namche.

      Leaving Namche, we follow a trail that climbs up to Tengboche at 3860 meters. Itโ€™s a simple way up to Tengboche. The route offers incredible views of Mt. Everest and other mountains like Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lobuche, and many other adjacent peaks. At first, we descend to Dudhkoshi valley at Pungi Thanka and slowly ascend to Tengboche.

      At Tengboche, we visit a famous monastery known as the Tengboche monastery. It is an old Buddhist monastery on the way to Everest. It is not just known for its spiritual significance but its fantastic location. One can see the great Mt. Ama Dablam rising just above the monastery. Likewise, the views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Lobuche, and many other mountains in the region look magnificent. Tonight, we are staying at a guesthouse in Tengboche.

      Moving ahead from Tengboche, we follow a trail to the Imja River. We follow a scenic trail from the river full of mountain views and picturesque landscapes to Pangboche village. At an elevation of 3900 meters, the village is at a scenic location with appealing views of mountains in the backdrop.

      Enjoying the majestic views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Amadablam, and Mt. Lhotse, we ascend to the pastures of Dingboche. We pass various pastures and summer settlements of yak herders until we open to the vast pasture of Dingboche. We also refer to Dingboche as a summer valley. In winter, it is fully covered by snow, but in summer, it looks beautiful with grassland and yaks herding. Tonight, we are staying at a guesthouse in Dingboche.

      As we rise to the high elevation region with passaging trekking days, we must acclimate to ensure our health and safety. Hence, today, we are staying in Dingboche for acclimatization. In the daytime, after breakfast, we hike up to Nagarjuna. At an elevation of 5100 meters, Nagarjuna is a beautiful viewpoint that lies just above the Dingboche on the edge of Chhukung valley. Walking toward Nagerjun, the trail gets steep, making walking difficult. However, the spellbinding views of the mountains from Nagerjun make the walk worth it.


      We will relish some fantastic views of Lobuche peaks, Thamserku, Taboche, Kangtega, Mt Ama Dablam, and many others from Nagarjuna. The hike is also an opportunity to get a stunning glance at Mt. Makalu, the fifth-highest peak in the world. After some refreshing moments at the top, we drop to Dingboche for the night. Tonight, we are staying at a guesthouse in Dingboche.

      Over time, we are getting closer to the Everest Base Camp. Today, we leave Dingboche and go to Lobuche at an elevation of 4910 meters. From Dingboche, we follow the trail to the wide valley until we reach Dughla. We move ahead to Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche at an elevation of 4240 meters. We can see a few western doctors treating the trekkers voluntarily. Further, we walk along the valley past some yak pastures before reaching Lobuche. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Lobuche.

      Finally, the wait is over. We are into one of the most typical days of our entire trekking journey. After breakfast in Gorekshep, we walk towards the Everest Base Camp, the highest mountain base camp. It is a moment of pride for anyone. We explore the area and witness the glory of the mountains that rise just before us.

      Though Mt. Everest hides between Mt. Lhotse and Mt. Nuptse, the views of other mountains are incredible. As we explore the base camp and capture the moment in photos, we return to Gorekshep for an overnight stay. Tonight, we spend our time at a guesthouse in Gorekshep.

      It is another most awaited day of our trekking journey. In the early morning, we wake up and hike to Kalapatthar. Kalapatthar is one of the renowned viewpoints in the Everest region of Nepal. It is famous for sunrise views and panoramic views of mountains in the Everest region, including the mighty Mt. Everest.

      From Kalapatthar, we catch the golden rays of sun falling over the glittering snow of Mt. Everest and other towering peaks in the range. After some quality time at Kalapatthar, we descend to Dzongla. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dzongla.

      Get set for a challenging yet rewarding day of our journey. Today, we start our day early, with around three hours of walking towards Chola Pass. As we are walking in the high altitudinal region, walking itself is an enormous task here. Even the path is quite terrifying, with dangerous passes and avalanches around. Sometimes rocks may fall from above; hence we need to be careful.

      As we climb to the pass, we cross at 5420 meters and descend downhill along a slippery path full of rocks to Dragnak. We take around three hours from the pass to reach Dragnak. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dragnak.

      After an energizing breakfast in Dragnak, we head along a rough trail toward the Gokyo valley. The trail needs to be more challenging and stable. Gokyo Lake is just a short distance from Dragnak, but walking along the glacier takes time. One needs to be very careful while walking. In around three to four hours, we reach Gokyo valley, where we can enjoy some heavenly beauty of the mountains lakes (Gokyo lakes) in the backdrop of the beautiful Himalayas. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Gokyo.

At an elevation of 5360 meters, Gokyo RI offers some stunning views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho-Oyu, and many other peaks. The small mountain lakes from above look fantastic. The blue-colored lakes shine like an emerald in the beautiful snow. We descend to Dole for the night by enjoying magnificent views from the Ri. Tonight, spend your time at a guesthouse in Dole.

      After breakfast in Dole, we descend to Namche Bazaar. Todayโ€™s first part of our Trek goes downhill up to Phorte Thangna, and from here, the trail ascends uphill to Mungla Danda. Again, from here, we go downhill to Lausaha and join the main trail to Everest Base Camp at Namche. Tonight, spend your night at a guesthouse in Namche.

      In the morning, we take an early flight to Kathmandu. Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, we will drop you at your Hotel in Kathmandu. You have two options for the dayโ€“explore the streets and malls for shopping or visit some places you want to explore but are not included in the Trek. Tonight, spend your time at a hotel in Kathmandu.
