The safety of our guests and staff is a top priority, and we are monitoring the evolving Coronavirus/COVID-19 situation closely. All of our guides are fully vaccinated to protect their safety and the safety of all visitors. We are taking recommended prevention and response measures, including: โ€ขOur Tour Guides will wear a mask throughout the tour and gloves when sanitizing, taking temperatures, opening/closing doors, and providing sanitizer to guests. โ€ขGuides will take their temperatures frequently to monitor for fever and will not work if they are sick. After an illness, a guide can return to work after receiving a negative test for COVID-19 or having no fever for 14 days. โ€ขBefore leaving our dispatch, each Tour Guide will ensure that all surfaces in the vehicle are appropriately sanitized and wiped down. โ€ข Before any guest enters the vehicle at their pickup location, our Tour Guide will use a non-contact thermometer to ensure that anyone with a fever or anyone traveling with others who have a fever (temperature must be less than 100.4ยบF (38.0ยบC)) do not enter the vehicle. โ€ขThe front seat will be off-limits to guests. โ€ข If a guest jeopardizes the health and safety of another guest, a guide, or a partner employee or customer (e.g., refuses to wear a mask, refuses to abide by social distancing guidelines, etc.), they will be removed from the tour, and no refund will be issued. โ€ขDuring the excursion, our Tour Guides will be the only individuals to open and close the vehicleโ€™s doors. โ€ขGuests will wear a mask for the duration of the tour, except in locations where masks are not required. Guests are required to supply their masks. Guests without masks will not be allowed to take the tour, and no refund will be given. Guests under age five or medically compromised will not be required to wear a mask per CDC guidelines. Children ages five and over are required to wear a face covering. โ€ขGuests will refrain from physical contact with our guide, other guests not in their party, partner staff, or other patrons while maintaining 6-foot social distancing guidelines. โ€ขAt each stop, when guests exit the vehicle, our Tour Guide will use sanitary wipes to disinfect commonly touched areas inside the vehicle. โ€ขUpon returning to the vehicle, our Tour Guide will provide hand sanitizer or wipes for each customer. โ€ขAt the end of each tour, all surfaces inside the vehicle will be sanitized and wiped down. โ€ขWe will limit the number of guests on our tours to 8. โ€ขWe are expanding our communications about our refund policy to ensure anyone who is not feeling well will receive a full refund for the tour is canceled. โ€ขOur leadership team will continue actively monitoring the recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and OHA and implement best practices accordingly. When you place your reservation, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and home address so that if we receive notification that a guest has tested positive for COVID-19, we can contact all other guests on that tour. As always, we will communicate clearly and directly about our plans and activities to continue to offer our tours in the safest possible environment.

Itinerary of your trip Poon Hill Trek From Pokhara

  • Day 1 Pokhara To Tadapani
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Pokhara To Tadapani

From Pokhara, weโ€™ll travel to Ghandruk, the starting point of our trek, by car or jeep depending on the group size. Alternatively, you can take a vehicle to Nayapul and hike from there, which adds a few hours to your journey.

About an hour into the trek, weโ€™ll take a short lunch break in Ghandruk. The initial part of the hike is steep and winds through a jungle-like terrain filled with lush green vegetation and tall trees. The entire trek to Tadapani from Ghandruk takes approximately 4 hours.

We suggest packing protein bars for a quick energy boost on the trail. At Tadapani, weโ€™ll stay in a communal lodge where you can warm up by the fireplace, enjoy meals at picnic tables, and prepare for the next dayโ€™s adventures.

A staple food in Nepal and a popular meal on the trek is Dal Bhat, a dish consisting of white rice, curried potatoes and cauliflower, lentil soup, and vegetable tarkari. This hearty and flavorful meal provides excellent fuel for the trails, as the saying goes, "Dal Bhat power, 24-hour!" Youโ€™ll spend the night in the cozy lodge at Tadapani.

  • Day 2 Trek To Ghorepani (2850M)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Trek To Ghorepani (2850M)

On day two, our trek continues upward towards Deurali at Ghorepani. As we gain altitude, the views become increasingly spectacular. Weโ€™ll hike from Tadapani to Ghorepani, situated at an elevation of 2,850 meters. The trail is remarkably well-constructed and wide, prompting questions about its creation and the effort involved.

This well-maintained path serves as a lifeline for the various mountain villages, providing an efficient means of connection. Along the way, you might encounter donkeys and their owners transporting essential supplies like wood, gas, or water. Itโ€™s truly impressive to witness how people have adapted and thrived in such a rugged and challenging environment. This experience highlights the diverse ways of life across the globe, offering you a glimpse into a lifestyle vastly different from your own.

Upon arrival in Ghorepani, weโ€™ll settle into a cozy teahouse conveniently located near the base of Poon Hill. This proximity allows for easy access to the early morning hike the following day, ensuring you donโ€™t miss the breathtaking sunrise views.

      Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

  • Day 3 Back To Pokhara
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Back To Pokhara

Before the first light of dawn, weโ€™ll rise from our cozy beds, bundled in blankets, and prepare for an unforgettable experience. Dressed warmly and equipped with water bottles, walking poles, and cameras, weโ€™ll embark on a 45-minute trek to the summit of Poon Hill (3210m). Here, weโ€™ll witness a breathtaking sunrise, the iconic view that draws trekkers to the Ghorepani Poon Hill trail. Trust us; itโ€™s worth every step.

Afterward, weโ€™ll descend back to the lodge for a well-deserved and hearty breakfast. With renewed energy, weโ€™ll begin our trek back to Pokhara. This descent involves steep steps, but the stunning scenery along the way makes it a rewarding journey. Our route will take us through the charming villages of Banthanti, Ulleri, and Tikhedunga.

Upon reaching Hile, our jeep will be waiting to transport us back to the comforts of Pokhara.
