      On arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be met by a representative from Sherpa Expedition and Trekking and taken to your hotel in Thamel โ€“ the tourist hub of Kathmandu and a great place to wander the streets and visit a cafรฉ, bar, or club.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Kathmandu To Chautara (1200M) Duration 6-7 Hours.

      This morning we head out on a road trip to Chautara. Tonight we will stay at a lodge.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Chautara To Phurse (2050M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      Today we trek through the valley and pass several villages of different ethnicities. The various castes in these villages highlight the peaceful co-existence of people living in these regions. We then head higher and cross small rivers and terraced farmlands across the hillsides until we reach our campsite at Phusre where we stay overnight.

      We begin the day and have a long ascent from Phusre to Thulo Okhareni passing through rhododendron and pine forests. The trail in this area is profuse with birdlife and other animals, including the Danphe (pheasant), the national bird of Nepal. The trail becomes less difficult and we then come out on summer pastures where we camp for the night.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Kami Kharka To Pauwa Bas (3000M) Duration 6-7 Hours.

      We have an easy trek ahead of us today and head through a serene expanse of juniper, oak, pine and rhododendron forests.  A little later we can see the houses of the nomadic cattle herders. Tonight we camp at Pauwa Bas. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Pauwa Bas To Hile Bhanjyang (3400M) Duratioin 4-5 Hours.

      We have a tough day ahead of us as we ascend for about 3 hours to the top of a hill and then have a steep descent for about one and a half hours. Along this leg of the trail, we will have some exciting views of the nearby mountains. We finally arrive at Hile Bhanjyang where we will stay in a lodge.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Hile Bhanjyang To Nasim Pati (3700M) Duration 4-5 Hours.

      Today starts with a steep uphill climb for about an hour. From the top of the hill, you will have some magnificent panoramic views in every direction. From here we descend for about three hours and follow the trail through rhododendron forests and across a rocky landscape before coming to the traditional pilgrims resting point at Nasim Pati where we camp the night.

  • Day 8 Day 8: Nasim Pati To Panch Pokhari (4100M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      A physically demanding trek lies ahead of us today as we climb to higher altitudes over rocky terrain before arriving at the holy Hindu five lakes - Panch Pokhari. Pilgrims from around Nepal and India make a pilgrimage here and stay in the small huts surrounding the lakes. We will have time to explore the area around the lakes and consider the special significance of these holy lakes. We will set up camp here tonight near the lake.

  • Day 9 Day 9: Panch Pokhari To Nasim Pati.

      Day 9: Panch Pokhari To Nasim Pati.

      We will be up bright and early today and head to Nasim Pati.  From Panch Pokhari this morning we have wide-ranging views of Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Jugal Himal Range, Rolwaling Range and Langtang Ranges. We will then descend down a steep trail back through the rhododendron forest to Nasim Pati where we will camp tonight.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Nasim Pati To Dukhang (2100M) Duration 6-7 Hours.

      We start the day with a steep descent before it flattens out and becomes less physically demanding. We pass through terraced hillsides and can peer down into deep gorges. We soon arrive at the authentic Tamang village at Dukang, a perfect place to explore and observe the Tamang people and their traditions. The architecture here is distinctive and shows how they have maintained their traditions in the modern world. We will set up camp here tonight.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Dukhang To Dhap (1200M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      Again we start the day with a steep descent before it flattens off some as we follow the trail through the terraced fields and with views and again down into the gorges. We then come to the Tamang village of Dhap and another opportunity to further your knowledge of who and what the Tamang people believe and how it affects their everyday life. We will camp here tonight. 

  • Day 12 Day 12: Dhap To Melamchi Pul Bazaar (800M) Duration 6-7 Hours.

      This is our last day on the trail as we follow the Indrawati River through several villages and farming areas. Melamchi Pul Bazaar also has its own hydropower plant here. Tonight we will stay at one of the lodges.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Drive From Melamchi Pull Bazaar To Kathmandu.

      Day 13: Drive From Melamchi Pull Bazaar To Kathmandu.

      Today we drive for about 3 to 4 hours from Melamchi back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu you will be taken to your respective hotels. Tonight your can celebrate the completion of this epic adventure to Panch Pokhari.

  • Day 14 Day 14: Final Departure Day.

      Day 14: Final Departure Day.

      A representative from Sherpa Expedition and Trekking will take you to the airport at least three hours prior to your departure. We wish you a pleasant flight home and hope to see you again and help you plan your next exciting adventure in Nepal.
