Flights

Domestic Flights: Flights from Kathmandu or Manthali to Lukla and return, as per the itinerary. Helicopter Flight: Helicopter flight from Everest Base Camp (Gorakshep) to Lukla.

Accommodation

Kathmandu: Accommodation in a 3-star hotel (Hotel Holy Himalaya or similar) on a twin/double sharing bed and breakfast basis. Trekking Route: Accommodation in guesthouses during the trek.

Transport

Ground Transportation: All ground transportation in a comfortable private luxury vehicle as per the itinerary, including airport and hotel transfers.

Meals

In Kathmandu: Breakfast at the hotel is included. Lunch and dinner are not included but can be enjoyed at various local restaurants.

Others

Permits: All necessary paperwork, including Sagarmatha National Park permit, TIMS card, Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality entry permit, and fees. Trekking Equipment: Luxury Holidays Nepal’s duffel, sleeping bag, T-shirt, and trekking map (if necessary). Luggage: Up to 15 kg per member as personal baggage during the trek, carried by porters. Staff Salary and Allowance: All Nepalese staff and porters’ daily wages, salary, equipment, food, and clothing. Medical Kit: Comprehensive medical kit. Luggage Storage: Free luggage storage at Luxury Holidays Nepal’s store during the trek. Farewell Dinner: Farewell dinner in Kathmandu at a typical Nepali restaurant with a cultural dance performance in the evening. Government Taxes: All government taxes and official expenses.

Insurance

Staff Insurance: Medical and emergency rescue insurance for all involved Nepalese staff during the trek. Personal Insurance: Participants are required to have insurance covering both medical and high-altitude evacuation costs (trip cancellation, interruption, high-altitude rescue and air evacuation, medical treatment, repatriation, etc.).

International Airfare: International flight airfare (to and from Kathmandu). Nepal Entry Visa Fee: Nepal entry visa, obtainable upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Meals: Lunch and dinner while in Kathmandu and all meals during the trek. Porter Service: Porter to carry your bag during the trek (one porter between two trekkers is recommended). During the Trek: Meals are not included but can be purchased at teahouses and lodges along the trekking route.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a representative from Luxury Holidays Nepal will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the evening, we will have a briefing about the trek. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Early morning, we take a scenic flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Upon arrival, we meet our trekking crew and begin our trek to Phakding. The trail gradually descends through pine forests, passing traditional Sherpa villages and crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River. Overnight at a guesthouse in Phakding.

We continue trekking along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. The trail offers views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru peaks. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, we begin a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa town. Overnight at a guesthouse in Namche Bazaar.

After breakfast, we trek towards Tengboche, enjoying panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam along the way. The trail takes us through lush forests and across the Imja Khola River before reaching Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tengboche.

We continue our trek through rhododendron forests and pastures to Dingboche, a picturesque village with stone-walled fields. The trail offers stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Island Peak. Overnight at a guesthouse in Dingboche.

Today’s trek takes us through the windswept landscape to Lobuche. We pass the memorials at Thukla Pass, dedicated to climbers who have lost their lives on Everest. The trail provides breathtaking views of Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, and other peaks. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lobuche.

We trek to Gorakshep, a small settlement at the base of Kala Patthar. After a short rest, we continue to Everest Base Camp, walking alongside the Khumbu Glacier. Standing at the base of the world’s highest peak is a surreal experience. We return to Gorakshep for the night. Overnight at a guesthouse in Gorakshep.

Early morning, we hike to Kalapatthar for an incredible sunrise view over Everest and the surrounding peaks. After enjoying the panoramic vistas, we return to Gorakshep and board a helicopter for a thrilling flight back to Lukla. This flight offers a unique aerial perspective of the Himalayas. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lukla.

We take a morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for shopping and sightseeing. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner at a traditional Nepali restaurant, accompanied by a cultural dance performance. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.

The day will be another big and rewarding day of the trek. Most of the morning on this day is spent climbing Mt. Kalapatthar, a small peak (by Himalayan standards) at 5555m / 18,225ft. The ascent is demanding, but the climber gets the most magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on the planet at 29,028 ft, 8848 meters, towers directly ahead and on all sides loom the other giants, Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse and countless others. You make a quick descent to Gorak Shep, a tiny hamlet at 5180 meters, then trek down to Pheriche village.

As you trek down through the hillside blanketed by rhododendron and juniper trees. After crossing the prayer-flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River, your trail follows the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through pine forests. In the forest, you may come across colorful pheasants and mountain goats. The path eventually reaches Sansa from where you can enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse mountains. You also pass winding trails, then through a forest before reaching.

You catch an early morning flight to Kathmandu after your long mountain journey. After reaching Kathmandu, you can take a rest or do some souvenir shopping. If you want to explore any other areas of Kathmandu, you may do that day. Your guides can help you with both souvenir shopping. There will be a dinner and half-hour massage in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of your journey.
