  • Day 2 Drive From Kathmandu To Sole Bazaar (700M/2297Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Drive From Kathmandu To Sole Bazaar (700M/2297Ft)

Today, weโ€™ll be driving to Sole Bazaar. Weโ€™ll leave early in the morning and enjoy a comfortable drive. The route youโ€™ll be taking is an important part of our history.

Over two centuries ago, Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founding father who brought all of the scattered territories together, took the same route.

The drive will take approximately 7 hours. Sole Bazaar is a small but thriving hillside town. The name bazaar translates to "market," and you will find yourself in a bustling town. On the first day of the trek, the views of farmland, terraced slopes, and small settlements will undoubtedly transport you to the countryside.

      ยญ

Special note- Since the drive to Sole Bazaar stretches for 6-7 hours, we recommend you carry some snacks and entertainment. While the views outside will surely keep your journey from becoming monotonous, it is ideal for carrying music, podcasts, or books to enjoy your drive.

  • Day 3 Trek From Sole Bazaar To Kispang (1990M/6234Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Sole Bazaar To Kispang (1990M/6234Ft)

The crisp air in the early morning will give you a fresh start to the day. When you step out, you will be heading towards Kispang village. First, youโ€™ll walk toward Satdobato. Youโ€™ll be crossing a suspension bridge over the Salankhu Khola. This river flows on to meet the mighty Trishuli River.

Once you cross this bridge, you will be climbing a steep incline to add to the excitement of the dayโ€™s adventure. After reaching Satdobato, another two hours of walking will bring you to Kispang. This dayโ€™s trek will last approximately 5-6 hours. On this day, you will walk through a variety of settlements, taking note of the cultural differences between each one.

  • Day 4 Trek From Kispang To Gonga (2800M/9186Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Kispang To Gonga (2800M/9186Ft)

As we embark on this dayโ€™s adventure, you will find yourself on a forested trail. The dense forests provide plenty of shade as you trek for 6-7 hours. The transition from farmland and terraced fields to lush forests will undoubtedly be an exciting experience. There will be large grassy pastures with local herds of sheep and goats. The forests begin when you notice the rhododendron and kharsu trees around you.

As you walk, youโ€™ll be rewarded with flashes of bright red rhododendron, dark green forests, and a bright blue sky that appears to support the mountains. We will stop for lunch when we reach a clearing where you can hear the sounds of nearby villagers. When you arrive in Gonga, you will notice how remote the location is. Gonga is a small 5-house town that exudes that cozy, tucked-away atmosphere.

  • Day 5 Trek From Gonga To Rupchet (3600M/1181Ft)
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Trek From Gonga To Rupchet (3600M/1181Ft)

You will leave early in the morning for Rupchet. We will once again take over the inclines. However, these paths are adorned with beautiful rhododendron and fir trees. As you leave Gonga, the dense forests will stretch far and wide. After walking for about 30 minutes, you will arrive at Mimatashi Karka. If you thought Gonga was a small settlement, this one will seem even smaller.

As you walk, you will notice more trees as the inclines flatten and rise again. The final of these inclines will lead you to Rupchet. After being surrounded by dense forests all day, this vast grassland will feel like a welcome respite from settlement. You will see grazing huts and unobstructed views of the Central Himalaya.

This dayโ€™s hike will take you about five hours. Because we are approaching higher elevations, you may want to take this extra time to rest. You can also simply sit and enjoy the stunning sunset, which is sure to impress.

Special Note- As we will be crossing elevations over 3000m on this day, be sure not to strain yourself too much while walking. We will be taking ample breaks, but if you feel like you need to stop, make sure you let one of our guides. We have altitude sickness medicines on board, so if you feel any shortness of breath or strain, please feel free to reach out to any member of our team.

Weโ€™ll use this day to get acclimated. When you wake up on this hilltop, you will be treated to panoramic views of well-known mountains. Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Gorkha Himal, and other peaks will welcome you with open arms. You can use this day to explore and take pictures as you adjust to the elevation. Gather your strength so you can tackle the trails with renewed vigour tomorrow.

With breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Fishtail Mountain, Annapurna range, Langtang range, and Gosaikunda range, your camera will struggle to keep up with your enthusiasm.

The journey here will take you approximately 2-3 hours. Because the elevations are higher, we will pace ourselves carefully to avoid any unnecessary strain. Once we pass it, we will walk down to Larkap. This descent will take us approximately one hour. Weโ€™ll set up camp and enjoy the mountain views as we settle in for the night.
