Accommodation

Guesthouse accommodation during the trek in twin-share and dormitory-style rooms.

Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trek. Fresh fruit every night after dinner.

Arrangement of Emergency Helicopter service which will be paid by your Travel insurance company. Use of Sleeping bags, Down Jacket, duffel bag, and Walking Pole (if you donโ€™t have your own, To be returned after the trip complete). Government taxes, service charges, and official expenses. Gokyo valley trekking map. Oxymeter to check your pulse and oxygen saturation and heart rate twice daily (Very useful to check Altitude Mountain Sickness(AMS) symptoms) Which will ensure you trek is in the safest hands possible for all levels of trekker. Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap. It will be necessary for you to make a 4-5 hour drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap in order to catch your flight. Kindly consider these terms and arrangements carefully before commencing your trek.   • Day 1 Day 1: Fly To Lukla And Trek To Phakding (2610M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      Day 1: Fly To Lukla And Trek To Phakding (2610M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      This morning we have a short 35-minute flight to Lukla Airport - also known as Tenzing-Hillary Airport. It is an incredible flight over the mountains with views of some of the worldโ€™s highest mountains. After arriving at Lukla we will have breakfast and then start out on our journey and follow the trail to Phakding Village where we will spend the night in a guesthouse.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Trek To Namche Bazaar (3445M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      This morning we will grab our packs and follow the trail to Namche Bazaar (3440m), the largest Sherpa village in Nepal. Before arriving at Namche Bazaar we will pass through a number of small villages, such as Jorsale (2804m) and Monjo (2835m). Monjo is located just north of Phakding and is also the official entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Acclimatization Day At Namche Bazar.

      We will stay here for the day to acclimatize before heading higher. Altitude sickness can be minimized by stopping at lower altitudes before heading higher. It is strongly recommended by health officials that you remain active during the day to help prevent altitude sickness. We will take a short trek to a local museum that houses Sherpa artifacts and other cultural items, and also trek up to Syangboche Airport near the Everest View Hotel where we will have some fantastic views of the Himalayas and Khumbu peaks that will leave you breathless.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Trek To Dole (4190M) Duration 5- 6 Hours.

      This morning we trek for around 90 minutes until we come to a cross-road, where one trail heads to Everest Base Camp and the other to Mung Danda, a well known viewpoint located at the top of a hill from where you have views of several snow covered mountains. We then ascend a steep trail and pass through birch and rhododendron forests until we come to Dole.

      Today you will notice an obvious change in the landscape as we head to higher altitudes. For three to four hours we will follow the trail through the valley where the vegetation is more scrubby and sparse. We will pass several small settlements and villages on the way to Machhermo. This area is where in the summer months the villagers graze their yak. 

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek To Gokyo (4790M) & Visit Fifth Lake And Back To Gokyo.

      This morning we head uphill to Gokyo Village (4,790m). The trail to Gokyo is especially pretty and initially, we follow a very scenic path to Pangka Village from where we head down to a river that has its origin at the Ngozumpa Glacier. Climbing up from the river we cross a rocky area next to the glacier and then arrive at the first of the holy lakes. We then come to a second lake and from here cross the glacier to Cho La Pass (5420m). Dudh Pokhari, the third lake has Gokyo Village situated on its eastern bank.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Hike Up To Gokyo Ri (5463M) Down To Dole (4200M) Duration 7-8 Hours.

      An early start to the day has us heading to the 5463 meter high Gokyo Ri from where you have some awesome views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and other snowy peaks. We will then take the trail to the fifth lake from where we have even better views! We will then head back down to Dole. 

  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek Down To Namche Bazaar (3,440M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      This morning we are on the trail again heading back to Namche Bazaar. The trail is quite long from Machhermo, but fortunately, it is quite easy-going and along the way passes through several Sherpa settlements and villages. 

  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek To Lukla (2,804M) Duration 7-8 Hours.

      Today we follow the trail back to Lukla arriving in plenty of time to allow you to wander around the village or sit back and relax with your feet up! You may decide to wander around the nearby mountains and take in the views.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Fly Back To Kathmandu (1,350M) Duration 30 Minutes Flight.

      The short flight back to Kathmandu will give you some impressive views of the mountains. If you want the best views it is suggested you sit on the right side of the plane. Once back in Kathmandu we will take you back to your hotels. You may already be contemplating another adventure now that you have had a taste of what is on offer in the Himalayan Mountains.
