We then head higher and through the sub-tropical forest before joining the trail coming from Syabru Besi. We then descend through oak and rhododendron forests. On this section of the trail, it is likely we will come across Langur monkeys in the treetops. We then head up a steep hill before arriving at Lama Hotel where we stay overnight.

At Ghora Tabela (3,000m) we emerge from the forest and come to a Nepali army outpost. We continue to follow the trail and pass through a number of small settlements occupied by herders who come here to graze their livestock, including Yak, in these mountain pastures in the summer months. A little further on we arrive at Langtang Village, which has mostly been rebuilt in a more contemporary style of architecture since the earthquake of 2015. We will stay here overnight.

Today the trail steadily climbs up through yak pastures, along a broad valley and with more sweeping views. After crossing over several small streams and moraines the trail brings us out at the settlement at Kyanjin where there are a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory - which is a great opportunity to stock up for lunch and afternoon snacks. As you will arrive before lunchtime you can rest and take it easy in the afternoon and explore the surrounding countryside. If you have the energy to spare you may wish to head up the Valley towards Langshisha Kharka to see some more fantastic views.

The descent will of course be much easier and faster than the ascent. After lunch, we continue on the trail and then have a steep downhill trek to Lama Hotel.
