      Our Egyptian tour commences with a journey to the Giza Plateau, which is the site of the world-renowned Great Pyramids of Egypt. These pyramids are considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, according to the Greeks. We will have the opportunity to visit these iconic structures and explore their surrounding area, which also includes the mighty Sphinx. Following this, we will travel to Memphis, which was the first capital of the ancient kingdom. Here, we will observe the colossal statue of Ramses II, which is one of the most iconic sculptures in Egypt. This statue is carved from limestone and is approximately 33 feet tall, making it a truly impressive sight to behold.

      From Memphis, we will proceed to Sakkara, where we will witness the Step Pyramid. This pyramid is considered to be one of the earliest surviving examples of monumental stone architecture, and it is also the oldest known pyramid in Egypt. The Step Pyramid is a unique and remarkable structure, with six layers that gradually decrease in size, creating a stepped effect. It is a fascinating site to explore and provides a great insight into the history and architecture of ancient Egypt.

      Early in the morning, we will be transferred to Cairo airport to catch an early flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our tour of the West Bank of the Nile will begin. Our first stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon, which are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. We will then proceed to explore the dusty Pharaonic tombs located in the world-renowned Valley of the Kings. These tombs are the final resting place of numerous pharaohs and are decorated with intricate hieroglyphics and stunning artwork.

      Next, we will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which is a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture. This temple was built in honor of Queen Hatshepsut, who was one of the few female pharaohs of Egypt. We will also witness the colorful hieroglyphics at the Medinat Habu temple before crossing back into Luxor. In the afternoon, you will have free time to either relax on board your luxurious 5-star Nile cruise boat or explore Luxorโ€™s markets, where unique souvenirs and local handicrafts. In the evening, we will take a walking tour of the magnificent Luxor Temple, which is spectacularly illuminated at night. This temple is one of the most significant religious sites in Egypt and was dedicated to the god Amun.       This morning, you have an optional experience a breathtaking sunrise hot air balloon flight over the West bank of the Nile, offering an unparalleled view of the surrounding landscape. After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of Luxor, centered on the vast temple complex of Karnak. This complex is home to towering columns and numerous temples and structures, making it one of the most significant archaeological sites in the world. Its grandeur and historical significance are sure to leave you in awe and justify Luxorโ€™s reputation as the largest open-air museum in the world.

      In the afternoon, our boat will begin sailing up the Nile, passing through the lock at Esna, and finally arriving at Edfu, where we will spend the night. As we cruise along the Nile, you will have the opportunity to take in the beautiful scenery and capture stunning photos of the surrounding landscape.       Following breakfast, we will visit the nearby Edfu Temple, which is dedicated to the god Horus. This temple is a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture, with intricate carvings and grand columns that are sure to leave you in awe. After our visit, we will continue sailing upriver towards Kom Ombo, where we will witness traditional rural Egyptian life passing by along the banks of the Nile. During this time, you may want to relax and unwind in the plunge pool located on the boatโ€™s sun deck, enjoying the beautiful scenery around you. 

      Upon arrival at Kom Ombo, we will tour the temple, which sits scenically by the banks of the Nile. This temple is unique in that it is dedicated to two gods, Sobek and Horus, and is home to mummified crocodiles, among other fascinating artifacts. Our cruise will then continue onwards to Aswan, with more opportunities to take in the stunning scenery and capture memorable photos of the Nile and its surroundings.

Aswan is a vibrant and bustling town, with plenty of cultural and historical attractions to discover, from ancient temples to traditional handicrafts. Whether you choose to immerse yourself in the local culture or simply take in the stunning scenery, this day promises to be a memorable experience.

For those not visiting Abu Simbel, there are plenty of other options to explore in Aswan. You can spend the morning exploring the local markets, walking up and down the Corniche on the banks of the river, or visiting the Nubian Museum, which offers a fascinating insight into the development of the Nubian people in the region.

      Later in the day, our cruise will begin sailing back towards Luxor, and we will spend the night onboard close to Edfu. As we make our way back, you can enjoy the facilities and amenities offered by your luxurious 5-star Nile cruise boat, including onboard dining, entertainment, and relaxation options.       This morning, we will depart from Edfu and continue our journey back to Luxor, with a stop on the way to visit the lesser-known Esna Temple, which is dedicated to the God Khnum. In ancient Egyptian mythology, Khnum was revered as the ram-headed god of creation, and his temple is a fascinating example of the religious architecture of that era. The temple was first founded during the reign of Tuthmosis III, in the 18th Dynasty, and over time, it underwent several additions and renovations by the Ptolemies and Romans, who left their mark on the temple walls. After visiting Esna Temple and taking in its historical and architectural significance, we will continue our journey to Luxor, where we will spend the night onboard our luxurious 5-star Nile cruise boat. This will provide you with ample time to relax and enjoy the facilities and amenities offered by the boat, including onboard dining, entertainment, and relaxation options.       Today, you will have a full day to relax on board the boat, explore the town at your leisure, or join one of our optional excursions. One option is to visit the Luxor Museum, which is home to a beautifully displayed collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including some very important and impressive specimens. The museum also features items from the period after the end of Pharaonic times in Egypt, providing a unique insight into the countryโ€™s rich cultural history.

      Alternatively, you could join our optional tour to Abydos and Dendera, two temples that are much less visited by tourists than the sites in Luxor but are nonetheless hugely impressive. Dedicated to the goddess Hathor, Dendera is particularly well preserved and has become many peopleโ€™s favorite site. Nearby Abydos is another fascinating site and was the cult center of the god of the dead, Osiris. The necropolis here was a pilgrimage and burial site, and at least ten temples were originally built here, making it a truly awe-inspiring destination.

Upon arrival, the afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure or to join an optional half-day tour to discover Cairoโ€™s old churches and synagogues in Coptic Cairo, visit the Citadel overlooking the city, and explore the narrow streets of the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. This tour offers a fascinating insight into the rich cultural and religious history of Cairo, with opportunities to visit some of the cityโ€™s most iconic landmarks and attractions.

      In the evening, an optional dinner cruise on the Nile is available, providing a unique way to experience Cairoโ€™s vibrant nightlife while taking in the stunning views of the Nile and the cityโ€™s skyline.       Our tour of Cairo begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, a world-renowned institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the countryโ€™s rich cultural heritage. Accompanied by a certified Egyptologist, you will stroll through the halls highlighting each historical period of this ancient land, marveling at the vast collection of antiquities, including the treasures of King Tutankhamen and the impressive Royal Mummy Room.

      Later in the afternoon, we will take a guided walk through the back streets and bazaars in central Cairo. We will start by walking through the huge Bab al-Futuh gateway and exploring streets dedicated to metalwork, spices, pottery, fabric, jewelry, and anything else you can imagine. As we gradually enter the more touristy Khan-el-Khalili bazaar, you will have the opportunity to haggle for souvenirs and immerse yourself in the local culture.

      We will have time for a break to try some tea and a shisha pipe and perhaps enjoy an early dinner of Egyptโ€™s unofficial national dish, Kushari, before returning to our hotel. This guided walk through the back streets and bazaars of Cairo promises to be a fascinating and insightful experience, with plenty of opportunities to discover the cityโ€™s vibrant atmosphere and cultural heritage.

      Today, you will have free time until we transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
