  • Day 2 Head To Aswan
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Head To Aswan

Fly to Aswan, the southern city considered Chakraโ€™s origin. Khnum, well known as the chief god in Aswan, is also well known as a god of creation. The Philae Temple was carefully moved to its current location (around 500 meters from the original site) when the construction of the High Dam caused surrounding Nile waters to rise. A short motorboat ride takes you to the island, where your guide will take you on a walking tour through the temple before allowing you free time to explore further. Dedicated to the goddess Isis, Philae Temple has a beautiful setting on an island in the river, which has been landscaped to match its original site. Its various shrines and sanctuaries celebrate the deities involved in the myth of Isis and Osiris. Then Continue to the Unfinished Obelisk in the granite quarries of Aswan, where much of the red granite used for ancient temples and colossi came from. The Unfinished Obelisk still lies where it was carved when a crack was discovered as it was being hewn from the rock. Your qualified Egyptologist guide will explain how that obelisk was cut and why the damage caused it to be abandoned. In the end, board your Nile cruise.

  • Day 3 Kom Ombo& Edfu
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Kom Ombo& Edfu

Set off on the Nile cruise and visit the famous attractions in both Kom Ombo and Edfu. The temple was dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed. The temple of Edfu is the most well-preserved among ancient temples. Your private guide will give you a detailed history of the temple and its reliefs.

You will also visit the temple of Kom Ombo. This is one of the unique temples of Egypt. The temple was dedicated to two Egyptian deities: Horus with the falcon head and Sobek with the crocodile head. The temple has two entrances, one for each of the two gods. The temple is beautifully located on a high mound. This location allows the visitor to enjoy the view of the Nile. It is believed that both temples are at the center of Chakra.

  • Day 4 Karnak, Luxor Temples& East Bank
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Karnak, Luxor Temples& East Bank

Explore the East Bank of Luxor to see two of the most impressive temples in Upper Egyptโ€”Karnak and Luxor. Start your day with a visit to the Temples of Karnak. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinx to enter the complex as your guide explains how the massive facade was constructed. On entering the Temples of Karnak, you will see each legacy left by the various pharaohs as the complex grew even more significant. The deeper you go into the complex, the further back in time you will travel, with the oldest ruins dating back over 3,000 years. Upon walking through the Great Court into the Great Hypostyle Hall, it is hard not to be overwhelmed by the 134 columns towering above you like an ancient forest. You can experience the magnificent healing energies while walking through the seven doors of the Sekhmet temple. At the rear of the complex, you will find the sacred lake where, centuries ago, pharaohs and their offerings to the gods were purified. After a tour of the complex, you will have additional free time to explore at leisure. Continue to Luxor Temple, which was once joined to the Temples of Karnak by a 2-kilometer-long Avenue of Sphinx, a portion of which marks the entrance to the temple. Dominated by statues of the great warrior pharaoh Ramses II, Luxor Temple has survived Nile floods, foreign invasions, and thousands of years exposed to the elements. In a pure Egyptian temple, the inner walls and columns are decorated with intricate hieroglyphics, which your guide will help you decipher. Please find out how Alexander the Great wrote himself into Luxor Templeโ€™s history and see one of the original pair of obelisks, the second of which now stands on the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

  • Day 7 Dendara
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Dendara

Combine a morning in Dendara, where you can visit the Temple of Hathor, with an afternoon of sightseeing in Abydos, home to "The Cult of Osiris." It is where most ancient Egyptians would have made a pilgrimage at least once in their lifetime. It is connected to the Heart Chakra. The approach path to the Temple of Hathor is between two Roman fountains that end at the massive entry gate. Hathor was the goddess of pleasure and love and was generally shown as a cow or a woman with a cowโ€™s head. The enclosure walls are mudbrick and date to the Roman era. The temple, two birth houses, a Coptic basilica, a sanitarium, a sacred lake, and the Temple of the Birth of Isis are within the walls. The temple has a long history, with evidence that Pepi I (Old Kingdom) rebuilt the temple. At the same time, other texts refer to reconditioning by Thutmose III, Amenhotep III, and Rameses II and III (New Kingdom). Additions were made during the Greek, Roman, and Ptolemy periods. Abydos in Middle Egypt is an ancient holy place and burial ground of the rulers of the late prehistoric proto-kingdom and the first attested kings of the politically unified Egyptian state. Buildings constituting the settlement area in northern Abydos dating back to Predynastic times have been found around Kom es-Sultan.

In contrast, recent excavators have found an Old Kingdom residential area to the southeast, which contains a street of mudbrick houses with courtyards and a faience workshop with its kilns. Abydos is home to "The Cult of Osiris," the god of the dead. It is said the head of Osiris was buried at the site after his brother murdered him.

  • Day 9 Giza Pyramids
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Giza Pyramids

After breakfast, discover the magic of the great pyramid and explore the famous Giza pyramids area and Sphinx. You will start by visiting the symbol of Eternity and the only wonder that still survives among the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu). It is undoubtedly one of the most important monuments of ancient Egypt. A masterpiece of fabricated structure and architecture, you will be overwhelmed by the massive size of its blocks, the height, and the age that exceeds 4600 years.

While you stare at this incredible monument, the front Chakra, your guide will thoroughly explain the areaโ€™s history, including the other pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, answer all your questions, and give you free time for photography. You will spend a long time in the area to have enough time to enter the chamber of the great pyramid. This is the crown chakra.

We will take a shortcut to the Sphinx from inside the Valley temple. You are moving to the Sphinx area, where you will spend some time exploring this monolith statue, which symbolizes the power and wisdom of the pharaoh, as the statue was carved with a lionโ€™s body and the head of the pharaoh. Next to the Sphinx area, you will visit the Valley Temple, where you will learn about mummification in ancient Egypt. After lunch, we will have the chance to visit one of the centers for essential oils in the area. Overnight in Cairo

  • Day 10 Egyptian Museum & Khan Elkhalili
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Egyptian Museum & Khan Elkhalili

Today you will immerse yourself in Egyptโ€™s history with a visit to the famous Egyptian Museum. Following this, you will visit Cairoโ€™s most prominent Islamic attraction, the Alabaster Mosque, and then stroll through the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. The Egyptian Museum houses over 100,000 Egyptian artifacts. The Egyptian Museum attracts millions of visitors a year. The highlight of the museum is the priceless treasures of King Tutankhamun. His gilded coffins dominate the main hall, while his magnificent gold mask is the star attraction! Your Egyptologist guide will introduce you to the most important pieces before allowing you to explore the museum leisurely. Here you can also visit the "Royal Mummies Room," where you will learn about the ancient art of mummification (optional, for an additional cost).

Following your visit to the Egyptian Museum, you will tour the Alabaster Mosque at the Citadel of Salah el-Din, which sits on top of a limestone hill overlooking Cairo and is the most important mosque in the city. The lower part of the mosque is clad inside and out with alabaster, while the top part is constructed from the limestone cladding removed from the Pyramids of Giza. Your guide will introduce you to the fundamental beliefs of Islam, including a translation of the most common prayers.

Then you will discover the ancient sites and culture of Coptic Christians, where you will learn about Christianity in Egypt. You will first visit the Hanging Church, built into the walls of the Roman fortressโ€™s Watergate and possibly the oldest Christian church in Egypt. It is one of Cairoโ€™s most beautiful churches dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Continue to the Monastery and Church of Saint George.
