The best season to visit Egypt is from September to March, you can enjoy a less hot season and appreciate the wonders that this beautiful place has to offer. During the summer (from mid-May to late August) the heat is usually overwhelming, so it is recommended to take your precautions and go prepared.

The climate in Egypt is dry. Egypt does not receive much rainfall, except in the winter months south of Cairo. Average temperatures range from 15°C in the winter to 50°C in the desert during the summer months, with the Delta area averaging 26°C in the summer.

The experience begins at the Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City. The airport transfer is only included upon your arrival in Cairo and your return from Cairo.

A negative COVID-19 test with a maximum issue date of 48 hours is required. There is no mandatory medical requirement to enter the country; however, it is recommended that when traveling to Egypt you are up to date with routine vaccinations, including MMR, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio and varicella vaccines.

Para esta experiencia es obligatorio viajar con un seguro de viaje completo que cubra accidentes, gastos médicos, repatriación, retrasos con vuelos, etc. También se sugiere contar con un seguro de equipaje en caso de pérdida o robo. Antes de iniciar el tour se pedirá un comprobante del seguro de viaje contratado, de lo contrario no será posible continuar en la experiencia.

After the programmed activities and according to the date of your experience you have free time. In addition to sharing with your fellow students and enjoying the hotel facilities we recommend some of the activities we have in the "extras" section. In Cairo you can: Visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (the new museum), Tahrir Square, Khan al-Khalili Bazaar, the Coptic Quarter, among other places. We also recommend you to enjoy the Egyptian gastronomy in typical restaurants.

The hotels have buffet breakfast, the dishes in the buffet allow you to choose between continental breakfast and typical Egyptian breakfast food such as falafel, beans, fruits and vegetables.

The price varies according to the establishment, it is suggested to bring between 15-25 USD per day for meals.

The hotels during this experience are comfortable and have very good service. Cairo: Oasis Pyramids Hotel or similar as Swiss inn Hotel. Bus Trip: Overnight on board bus with A/C and reclining seat. Luxor: Lotus Hotel or similar. If 1 person is traveling unaccompanied, share a double room with another travel companion. If 2 people travel in the same reservation they have a private double room. If traveling 3 people in the same reservation have triple private room.

This experience does not have a minimum age. Minors must share a room with two older adults, for rates please visit the "extras" section. Rooms allow a maximum of 3 people (adults and/or minors) using existing beds (usually 2). Children 12 years and older are charged at the regular rate.

It is recommended that you purchase a SIM card upon arrival in Egypt to have cellular coverage. Internet is usually open and available in the hotels provided; however, it is not always fast or expensive to purchase in hotels. Getting a signal or internet on cruise ships is often complicated.

The last day ends with your arrival at Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City (MEX), the time will depend on your flight itinerary.
