Hygieneprotocol

We have put in place a series of precautionary measures in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization. We must play our part in preventing the spread of the virus and ensuring our customers remain safe throughout the duration of their trip. In terms of hygienic practices, ANCIENT EGYPT TOURS is complying with all the WHO guidelines. 1. Groups in tours and activities will not consist of more than 10 people. 2. A safe distance of one meter between clients will be maintained whenever possible. 3. The use of masks is obligatory. Masks will be given to clients who do not have their own. 4. Alcohol gel will be available before, during, and after the service. 5. All those running the service (guide, driver, hotel staff, etc...) will wear a mask throughout its duration. 6. All those running the service (guide, driver, hotel staff, etc...) will wear gloves throughout its duration. 7. All the hotels and cruises we work with have demonstrated safe and hygienic practices to ensure your complete safety. 8. The handing out of printed material such as maps or brochures will be avoided. 9. The temperature and wellness of all those taking part in the service will be monitored daily. Anyone who has a fever or displays symptoms will be separated and placed in quarantine. 10. The temperature of all attendees will be taken, and admission will be denied to those with a temperature of more than 37 degrees Celsius (99 Fahrenheit), and a full refund for the land tour will be given. 11. Should land, air, or water transport of any kind be used, the vehicles will be disinfected before and after each service deep-cleaned every 24 hours. 12. The capacity of all means of transport will be reduced to 50% of their maximum capacity. 13. At monuments, museums and attractions, the maximum permitted capacity will be 50% of the total maximum capacity. 14. Showing your voucher on your phone will be enough, and it is not necessary to print anything. 15. These measures will be applicable starting from June 2020 until further notice. Flights

As we have travellers from all over the world, flights before and after the tour are not included in the tour price and you need to arrange these separately by yourself once your tour is guaranteed. As we specialise in organising the best tours around the world for you, we are unable to advise on flight prices or book flights on your behalf. We recommend that you do not book your flights until your place on the tour has been confirmed.

Welcome to Cairo, Egypt (Around the Clock) Ancient Egypt Tours representative will pick you up from Aswan International Airport by the exit door, holding a sign "Ancient Egypt Tours". will meet & greet you and then he will escort you to the hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle. At hotel the tour reception manager will assist with a smooth check-in and your expert guide will contact you to review your holiday itinerary to establish and confirm pick-up times for each tour.

Day 2 Day 2: Cairo - Giza - Luxor (Sleeper Train)

Day 2: Cairo - Giza - Luxor (Sleeper Train)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Cairo and then meet your personal guide who will accompany you to the Giza Plateau to visit one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. You will continue to explore the rest of Giza plateau including the sight of Khafre’s (kaphren) pyramid - Khufu’s son, the second-largest pyramid on Giza site, the remains of the funeral temple, the pyramid of Mankawra (Mykerinus) and 3 small pyramids. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body, which dates from the time of Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chefren. After visiting the pyramids, you’ll then continue across the plateau for a photo opportunity of the three pyramids rising from the sands, with the Cairo skyline in the background.

We will then visit The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities, and dates back some 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Afterwards, we’ll transfer you to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Dinner on the train.

Day 3: Luxor - Cairo (Sleeper Train)

Breakfast on the train. Arrive in Luxor and be met by our representative. Start your tour of the Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built. Although badly ruined, no site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak. It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders.

You will have free time to explore before your transfer to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahary, Queen Hatshepsut was the first great woman in recorded history the forerunner of such figures as Cleopatra, Catherine the Great and Elizabeth I.

Afterwards we will visit the Valley of the Kings, which contains some 60 tombs, starting with Thutmose I and ending with Ramses X or XI. Tutankhamun’s tomb was the first royal tomb to be discovered that was still largely intact, you will visit 3 tombs.

Proceed to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III Colossi of Memnon. After a day full of adventure we will transfer you back to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Cairo. Dinner on the train.
