  • Day 1 Day 1: Welcome To Buenos Aires

Day 1: Welcome To Buenos Aires

      Welcome to Argentina!

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace.

Buenos Aires is a marvelous and furious cosmopolitan city, full of colors and different kinds of architecture. Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!

Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. Thatโ€™s our spirit! So, for this first day, feel free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open โ€œparrillaโ€ (barbecue) and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping. And to travel deeper and have a firm grip of the Argentine spirit, find the perfect leather jacket or handbag (Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers) and explore the colorful Palermo Soho neighborhoods.

Day 2: Buenos Aires City Tour & Argentine Experience Dinner

We will explore the vibrant heart of Buenos Aires on our captivating half-day city tour, starting with convenient pickups in the stylish Palermo Soho district. This journey offers a direct and immersive encounter with the cityโ€™s essence.

Our initial destination is Plaza de Mayo, a historic epicentre enveloped by iconic landmarks such as the Casa Rosada (Government House), the awe-inspiring Metropolitan Cathedral, and the storied Cabildo, a relic of Spanish colonial rule. At the opposite end of Avenida de Mayo stands the imposing Congress building, a testament to Argentinaโ€™s rich political history.

The journey southward takes us to San Telmo Market, where the cityโ€™s vibrant energy comes to life. From there, we venture into the birthplace of Tango, La Boca, a kaleidoscope of colors and culture. Along Caminito Street, you will encounter talented artists showcasing their mesmerizing Tango-inspired artworks.

Continuing our exploration, we briefly pause at Puerto Madero, a once-abandoned port district now transformed into a sleek, modern enclave. The contrasts in Buenos Aires landscape are both striking and intriguing.

Our path then leads us to Palermo, a neighboorhood adorned with lush parks, including the old City Zoo, the Botanical Garden, the Argentine Horsetrack, the esteemed National Polo Field, and the Planetarium. Here, nature and leisure converge harmoniously.

To culminate this remarkable journey, we visit Recoleta, one of Buenos Aires most glamorous neighborhoods, known for its elegant charm and rich history and its Cementery, where Eva Perรณn rests in peace.

The town of El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, an extreme and deserted place with an amazing landscape.

It is on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentinaโ€™s biggest lake) and it is considered the capital of the glaciers. It is the gateway to visit the world-renowned Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing.

    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 4: El Calafate: Perito Moreno Glacier Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to take you to Los Glaciares National Park located at 50 miles from El Calafate, home of the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier.

Los Glaciares National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981 when its almost 200 glaciers were discovered. Half of the park is occupied by the Patagonian ice field, the second largest ice field after Antarctica.

Upon arrival to the National Park, your guide will show you the different walkways from where you will be able to walk in front of the colossal ice wall, and, if you are lucky, perhaps see some landslides.

When the ice breaks and falls, the world holds its breath: all other sounds stop at the earthโ€™s surface.

You will start the adventure from the main balcony and then, have some free time to wander freely until the meeting time agreed with your guide. For lunchtime, the National Park offers a service area with a restaurant and a snack bar (lunch is not included).

For a different perspective of this impressive glacier, you can take a 1-hour boat ride to sail along the massive glacier wall that rises 240 feet above Argentino lake and in between floating icebergs.

After exploring the park, you will be taken back to your hotel.

On this tour, you will go on a cruise across Lake Rico, passing in between icebergs that have calved off the front of the Perito Moreno glacier. Reaching the Icebergs Channel, the boat will stop at a safe distance from the glacier to continue to sail down its front, allowing for spectacular views of the ice wall and any breaking and floating icebergs.

This excursion lasts approximately one hour and provides a totally different perspective of the Perito Moreno glacier, with almost constant falling walls of ice from its front. That is what makes this option the best complement for the conventional visit to the walkways.

During the journey it is common to come across condors, foxes and hares, with Cerro Frรญas as the protagonist.

You will enjoy a welcoming hot drink and a delicious snack in the quincho (rustic dining room) and then we will make a one hour horseback ridiing in the coast of Lago Argentino. Day 8: Trekking In El Chalten: Self Guided

If you liked Laguna Torreโ€™s hiking trail, youโ€™ll love our second hiking favorite: Laguna de Los Tres and the base of Mount Fitz Roy. Go for a medium difficulty experience, an 8- hour-long hike to the most impressive views of Rio de Las Vueltas valley.

Youโ€™ll cross Del Salto Stream, its icy water held by orange-tinted rocks which defies the breathtaking views of Mount Fitz Roy. This hike becomes difficult in the last bit: a 400 meters (1312 feet) steep slope separates you from your final goal! The reward will be more than fabled: the sun sparkling over the emerald waters of Laguna de Los Tres, its haunting glacier and the pristine Fitz Roy peaks. A little secret: seize the day, wake up early and watch the sunrise at the Laguna de Los Tres to see them turning redโ€”A lifetime opportunity for nature lovers.
