  • Day 1 Arrival Buenos Aires

      We welcome you at Buenos Aires Airport (Aeroparque Jorge Newbery or the International Airport Ezeiza). Then transfer to the hotel located in the city center of the city.  The rest of the day is at leisure to visit the city on your own.

      At night a transfer will pick you up to enjoy an atypical dinner experience where you will learn about the Argentine culture, taste fantastic local dishes, drink exceptional wine, and mingle with fellow travelers in a fun setting. This is a five main course dinner which includes: 

      Welcome: Wine- base cocktail and a Patagonia trout tartar.

      Empanadas: You will learn how to make your own empanadas. Fillings are beef stew or capresse (cheese mozzarella and provolone, roasted cherries tomatoes and basil)

      Picada: Typical Argentine cuts of meat to nibble. 

      Main Course: 200 grs of tenderloin accompanied by roasted vegetables 

      Desserts: Tasting of sweets and cheeses.

      At the indicated time we transfer to Buenos Aires airport to take our flight to our next destination: Iguazu. Upon arrival at Iguazu Airport (IGR) we transfer to the hotel.

      Then we will do the excursion through the Brazilian Falls, visiting a traditional footbridge with wonderful panoramic views. The extension of the walkways is 1,200 meters from where you get a spectacular panoramic view of the 275 falls that make up the Iguazu Falls, of which the most important on the Brazilian side are 4: Floriano, Deodoro, Benjamin Constant and Salto Uniรณn or Garganta of the Devil. After the tour, you have access to the panoramic elevator that allows you to reach the bus that will leave us again at the access portal. Then we go back to our hotel in the Argentinian Side.

  • Day 5 Visit Argentinian Side Of The Falls

      Visit Argentinian Side Of The Falls

      Today we will visit the argentinian side of the falls, where we will enjoy of this amazing views from different angles and perspectives. Entering through the visitor center, several walks are carried out in the jungle to admire the giants of this green world, the jungle that gives us its aromas, its colors, its freshness, a unique contact with this increasingly scarce biome in the world. The walkways offer wonderful visits to the falls and the opportunity to be in contact with the fauna. From colorful insects like dragonflies, butterflies, and beetles; the curious coatis and monkeys; great variety of birds such as magpies, jotes and toucans; and there are days when we are surprised by the timid look of a roe deer, a capybara or even a puma watching the pass from the edge of the mountain. A ride on the narrow gauge train completes Las Delicias for adults and children, it is a service that links the 3 different circuits or walkways of the National Park; lower, upper and devilโ€™s throat.

      The always satisfied visitor is the goal, with joy to the fullest, accompanied by the best guides who know secrets, legends and anecdotes that will make the visit to this world heritage site and one of the 7 wonders of the world more complete.       It is carried out in conjunction with the Excursion Cataratas Argentinas, within the PNI. The Great Adventure combines the essence of the Iguazรบ National Park: the jungle and the Waterfalls in a single route.

      Starting from the Operative Central or from the Visitor Center, you will enter the jungle through the narrow Yacaratiรก Trail in units designed for this particular environment. Bilingual guides (Spanish / English) will help to interpret the natural and cultural riches of the place.

      This 5 km vehicular route culminates in the Puerto Macuco jungle base. After descending 100 meters you will arrive at the dock where you can board the boats with which you will go up 6 km up the Lower Iguazรบ river gorge towards the waterfall area enjoying the mighty rapids, to the base of the Tres Mosqueteros waterfall, watching the set of Brazilian waterfalls Argentines, with the Devilโ€™s Throat crowning the view of the canyon. Later, you will reach the maximum point of emotion when facing the incomparable Salto San Martรญn, second in size and the largest that a boat can approach.

      To finish, we will disembark at the dock located in front of San Martรญn Island from where you can rejoin the walkway system, through the Lower Circuit. The Great Adventure can be done in the opposite direction. That is, from the pier located in front of San Martรญn Island to the Visitor Center.

       

  • Day 6 Puerto Iguazรบ - Salta

      At the indicated time we transfer to Puerto Iguazu Airport to take our flight to our next destination: Salta, in the north region of Argentina. 

      Upon arrival we transfer to our accommodation. The rest of the day is at leisure to visit the city on our own. We recommend to visit Cerro San Bernardo, which has amazing views of Saltaยดs city.

  • Day 7 Salta - Salinas Grandes - Purmamarca

      Salta - Salinas Grandes - Purmamarca

      Early, after breakfast we start our day of traveling through incredible landscapes. We make a parallel route of the Train of the Clouds railway by Quebrada del Toro. Then we continue, starting the ascent until reaching 4080 meters above sea level and get to San Antonio de los Cobres. We make a break for lunch and enjoy some of the typical meals offered in the village. Back in the vehicle, we cross route 40 until we reach Salinas Grandes, right on the border between Salta and Jujuy. Then we start the descent by Cuesta de Lipรกn where condors are usually seen. We arrive at Purmamarca town and its Hill of Seven Colors. We continue our trip to Tilcara, where we spend the night.

  • Day 9 Quebrada De Humahuaca - Salta

      Quebrada De Humahuaca - Salta

      Leaving in the morning, we will visit Unesco World Heritage Quebrada de Humahuaca. We visit Purmamarca and its colorful โ€œSeven Colours Hillโ€. Then, we enter the Quebrada

      de Humahuaca, passing through the Posta de Hornillos, continuing towards the town of Tilcara. We continue to Huacalera, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn, from where you can see the colors of the hill called โ€œPollera de la Collaโ€. We visit the mystical Church of Uquรญa, where the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (important vestige in the area of the Cuzqueรฑa school) are located. Then we arrive in Humahuaca and admire its important Cathedral and the Independence Monument (El Indio) by the sculptor Soto Avendaรฑo. After lunch we return to observe โ€œPaleta del Pintorโ€ mountain range that frames the town of Maimara from the route. And at the end of the afternoon, we arrived in the city of Salta.

      After breakfast the day is at leisure to do any of the optional excursions that Salta has to offer us.

      Optional Excursion Recommended: "Full Day Cafayate with Wine Tasting"

      The tour begins in the Lerma Valley, crossing tobacco cultivation fields and towns with colonial architecture. Then we will entrance to Quebrada del Rรญo Las Conchas where the curious formations eroded by the wind and water will be the main attraction: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the throat of the devil, the castles, the amphitheater, among others. Then we arrive at Cafayate, a city recognized internationally for the strains of its wines, in particular the Torrontรฉs, which can be tasted in the visits to its cellars. Then we go back to our acccommodation in Salta. 

  • Day 11 Salta - El Calafate

      At the indicated time we transfer to Salta Airport to take our flight to the land of glaciers: El Calafate. Upon arrival a transfer will be waiting for us to take us to our acommodation.

      Optional Excursion Recommended: Nativo Experience Lakes and Caverns with Dinner

      It is an excursion in 4ร—4 along the coast of Lake Argentino. Ideal for the day of arrival or departure, it has an anthropological approach, making a tour at the time about the passing of man in these lands, rediscovering the stories of the first expeditions and daring that ventured into the unknown. Between the cliffs and overlooking the Andes Mountains, the excursion focuses on the first contacts of those expeditionaries with the natives, and then enter the Tehuelche world.

      On the banks of the lake are the caves where thousands of years ago that culture left its marks on the rock and that today induce us to its interpretation. Finally, the excursion culminates in another cave where lunch or dinner is included that will transport us to those remote years.

      Perito Moreno Glacier With Safari Nautico Boat Trip

      We dedicate this day to one of the Worldโ€™s Natural Wonder: the Moreno glacier. This ice field- type glacier flows down from the Patagonian Icefield, a big sheet of ice that with its 22.000 square kilometers is the third largest glacier area in the world, after Antarctica (14 M sq km) and Greenland (1 M sq km). Because unusual favorable local conditions, this glacier is the only one in the world that shows a closure and rupture process. The road leads to the very front of the glacier, which will be only meters away from your eyes. The roar of the chunks of ice falling inside the glacier or from the glacier into the lake, the frequent collapse of the front seracs into the turquoise water, makes out of this day a very special and unique experience.

      Then we wil go up to โ€œBajo de las Sombrasโ€ from where, you will board the catamaran boat to navigate the Lago Rico where your will be able to appreciate the amazing ice wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier and its icebergs. Then we go back to our accommodation in El Calafate.

      Rancho Aparte experience will allow you to savor home-cooked meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The dishes are prepared with local products and a ubiquitous ingredient in homemade food...lots of love!

      The menu is accompanied by selected wine pairings from Argentine and Patagonian wineries. Therefore, with each course we respect the aromas and flavors in a harmonious and palatable way. It has four fixed menus; two of them "traditional". They are based on regional cuisine and adapt the local products to a journey of unforgettable flavors. The other two menus are "vegetarians or vegans". They are designed so that those who choose this type of food can also enjoy this experience, where most of the ingredients used are selected from organic farms in the area.

      The excursion begins at 7.00 hs from El Calafate. We take the mythic Route 40, that goes along the Argentino Lake up to La Leona river. We will pass by the canyon with the same name โ€œCaรฑadรณn La Leonaโ€ and after 1.15 h ride, we will arrive to the ancient route hotel "La Leona", almost a museum of the Route 40, where you can have coffee and cakes.

      Our trip continues along the Lake Viedma, from where we will have magical views of glaciers, hidden lakes and the overpowering presence of the Mount Fitz Roy. We will make some photo stops at the viewpoint of the Viedma Glacier and Lake and after a 3 h ride we will arrive to this andean village called โ€œThe Capital of the Trekkingโ€. As soon as we arrive at El Chalten we make another stop at the National Park Interpretation Centre. Once at Chalten, the activities will continue according to the option booked:

      Upon arrival at El Chalten we will able to do some short treks in the area, for example Viewpoint los condors y las Aguilas or Chorillos del Salto. Then we will have lunch a nice restaurant before starting our way back to El Calafate.

  • Day 14 El Calafate - Ushuaia - Beagle Channel Boat Trip

      El Calafate - Ushuaia - Beagle Channel Boat Trip

      At the indicated time we transfer to El Calafate Airport to take our flight to our next destination: Ushuaia. Upon arrival we transfer from Ushuaia Airport to the Hotel in the city center. 

      In the afternoon we go the pier from where we depart from the local seaport toward Alicia Island, where we will find a colony of South American sea lions. Then we sail to Bird Island to watch king shags and imperial shags living close to their nests, and from spring through fall we can even find their breeds. Again, we head east towards another small island that, depending on the season, we can view South American fur seals. Very close to this island is Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, an authentic symbol of Ushuaia, built in 1919. From there we have a view of the island where rock shags live. On our way back to Ushuaia, we disembark at Bridges Island to walk along a path for the interpretation of wildlife, while listening to the history of the native inhabitants, the Yamanas. On this island, we can find the largest Yamanaโ€™s "concheros" (shelly deposits) of the region. As this is the largest island, we reach the highest panoramic point from which we can enjoy amazing views of the Beagle Channel with the town of Ushuaia in the distance. Then we go back to our hotel.

      Tierra Del Fuego National Park With Train Of The End Of The World

      Leaving the city of Ushuaia, heading southwest, we will travel the national route No. 3, towards Tierra del Fuego National Park. After crossing the Pipo River bridge, next to the Ushuaia Golf Club, we will arrive at the station of the Austral Fueguino Railway, the End of the World Train. where we will get on board one of the most magical trains. ยญ

      Along the road surrounded by Lenga forests and peat bogs, we will arrive at Lake Acigami (formerly Lake Roca), a lake of glacial origin, framed by mountains and forests, where it is possible to spot specimens of native birds. The last section of the tour takes us to Bahรญa Lapataia, after crossing the cormorant archipelago, peat bogs and a visit to a beaver dam. In Bahรญa Lapataia, in addition to the marine coast, rich in mollusks and mussels, we will find vestiges of the ancient aboriginal people that inhabited the region. There we will have time to walk the walkway from which we can take pictures and enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world. Then we will return to our accommodation in Uhsuaia.
