Accommodation

Dome Tent Accommodation Dome tents provide great covered space at the front of the tent for leaving incidentals outside particularly when it rains. Their windows are often lower than a lot of other tents helping air flow in the heat of the kimberley. These two advantages alone make them ideal for the trip compared to the square safari type shaped tents. The tents take 10 minutes or less to set up. There are a number of locations where we stay 2 or 3 nights in the one location which reduces the amont of time a tent needs to be erected or dismantled during the trip considerably. The guides are more than happy to assist with tent construction and we recommend particpants work in teams of two. You can also stand up in the tents unless your big bird which is very handy. We also supply a camping inflatible mattress and fan with a light. In general we find that most people are comfortable on the mattresses. For participants who may have dificulty with agility issues or a medical issue requiring tham to use a stretcher bed these can be supplied for an additional fee of $150.00 . The stretcher bed and inflatable mattresses are yours to keep at the end of the tour should you like to take them with you. Due to health reasons we can no longer re-use bedding. If you would like to bring your own bedding it must fold or roll up to a size 65cm x 25cm and preferably have a bag or strapping to hold it rolled/folded firm.

Meals

All Breakfasts are included on the trip except for Day 1. All dinners are included on the trip except for Day 21. Lunch is not included - Why? We believe in supporting our local communities as we travel through them. Buying our lunch as these stops helps the local commerse and tourism in these regions which is a large part of the communities revenue. It gives us a chance to talk to the locals and other travellers and will be a large part of our tour dynamics every day. You are welcome to bring along a packed dry lunch. You should bring along or allow purchases for snacks and drinks. Spring Water is included for the duration of your tour. It is a bit more secluded than some of the other popular spots, so it can be a great place to escape the crowds and enjoy some peace and quiet. The gorge features a waterfall and a deep swimming hole surrounded by rocky cliffs.  This walking trail itself is rocky and a bit of climb/scramble in places, so be prepared with proper footwear. There are beautiful clear streams with lily pads and a stunning waterfall and water hole at the end, nice and clean for a swim with a crocodile perhaps!

After spending some time at Adcock Gorge, weโ€™ll return to our campsite for the evening. Weโ€™ll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend some time relaxing around the campfire, taking in the peaceful surroundings before retiring to our tents for the night.
