  • Day 1 Arrival In Beijing

      Arrival In Beijing

      The prelude of your China tour starts when you meet your professional local guide at Beijing Airport after reclaiming your luggage and clearing customs. The driver will drive you in a comfortable vehicle to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure. The rest of the day is left for you to have a good rest or to become familiar with our capital city on your own.

  • Day 2 Beijing

      Beijing

      Today your memorable tour starts! You will meet your group members in the hotel lobby and have a short meeting. Then head to the first stop, Tiananmen Square, the biggest urban city square in the world. From there you will enter the Imperial Palace, also known as the Forbidden City to explore its fascinating halls and pavilions. Here, you will not only learn how the emperor handled political affairs and lived their lives, but appreciate numerous ancient art treasures.

      At noon, an a la carte welcome lunch will be served at a superb local restaurant, where you can have a taste of authentic Chinese food. In the afternoon, visit the Yonghe Palace and the Temple of Heaven. Tonight, we will arrange a living Beijing Opera Show in Liyuan Theatre and we will leave enough time for you to see how actors put on makeup on their face.

  • Day 3 Beijing

      Beijing

      Today’s highlight is to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. We will specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. The restaurants nearby the site are of low standard, so we do not arrange the lunch today. It may be the best that you have a big breakfast at the hotel and have some fast food for lunch by yourself. Our guide will show you some restaurants. Drive back to down and have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird’s Nest), you will see its splendid appearance at a distance. Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys and have a chance to visit a local family.

  • Day 4 Beijing - Xian

      In the morning, visit the Panda House in Beijing Zoo and the Summer Palace. After that, take a flight to Xi’an and check in at the hotel.

  • Day 5 Xian
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Xian

      The visit to the magnificent Terracotta Army will start your day’s trip. In the museum, there are altogether three excavated pits exhibiting amazing warrior figures and Chinese ancient weapons.  After that, take a family visit to home of the first discoverer of the Terracotta Army. And then make a mini clay warrior by yourself in a traditional cave dwelling with the help of a local artisan.  Lunch is on your own arrangement and our guide will gladly assist.

      In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained by the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking of the famous Dumpling Dinner.

      Friendly Tips: Since the theater is usually not open in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec, we will not arrange the show and dumpling dinner for tours starting during the periods. Clients will enjoy free time to relax.

  • Day 6 Xian - Shanghai

      The day begins with a leisure visit to the City Wall Park, where you can observe the day-to-day life of the locals. We also have a special arrangement for you here. That is to practice Tai Chi for one hour with the master. Tai Chi, a soft form of Chinese martial arts, is considered the quintessential Chinese culture. After that, you will pay a visit to the City Wall. It is the most complete existing urban fortification in China. Cycling on the ancient wall is an exciting experience that many people like to try (bike rental fee is not included). Then explore the lively Muslim Quarter and try the local food. After that, you will board the flight to Shanghai. Your local guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

  • Day 7 Shanghai

      Shanghai

      A day journey will show you the essence of Shanghai. This morning, you will visit one of the four largest museums in China, Shanghai Museum, which specializes in exhibiting art works from ancient times. After that, explore Yu Garden and its nearby traditional bazaar. The symbol of the Garden is the Nine Zigzag Bridge built of granite and grass-white jade and the quaint, elegant mid-lake pavilion. Around noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be served to you at a very nice restaurant.

      In the afternoon, you will be guided to the Bund and have a one-hour cruise tour along the Huangpu River. Thereafter, go to the Former French Concession to explore Tianzifang. Many old houses there have become art studios, modern restaurants, cafes and bars, and your guide will take you to the back lanes to see the real life scene of Shanghainese.

  • Day 8 Departure From Shanghai

      Departure From Shanghai

      After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to the airport for your homeward flight by yourself. We suggest you reserve a taxi at the hotel reception beforehand to avoid having to wait for a taxi outside. The trip to Pudong Airport (PVG) will take about one hour and cost around CNY200. Ensure you have at least 40 minutes’ drive if your flight leaves from Hongqiao Airport (SHA). The cost for the taxi there is about CNY80. Please check carefully from which airport your flight will depart. We wish you a smooth journey home.
