Welcome to take our China private tour with daily departures, which can be tailored to meet your individual interests. You will have a more personalized experience as the trip is only for your private party, with no other people.

Upon your arrival, your experienced guide will greet you at the airport arrival hall with a warm welcome. Then, you will be transferred to check in at the hotel.
Day 2 Beijing

After breakfast, we will set out for Tiananmen Square, where many city landmarks such as Tiananmen Tower, Great Hall of the People and Monument to the People’s Heroes can be seen. Later, enter the Forbidden City through Meridian Gate and tour this ancient wooden building complex from south to north. You can also scan millions of precious cultural relics from the Palace Museum.

At around noon, you can enjoy a la carte welcome lunch at a fancy restaurant. If you like meat, Peking Roast Duck is a must-try.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a 1-hour walking tour in Hutongs and pay a visit to a local family there. You can also experience Chinese calligraphy, face painting (the kind of face seen in Peking Opera theatre), or paper-cutting, all being symbolic components of the Chinese cultural tapestry. Later you will be taken to watch an acrobatic show at the Red Theatre. In the end, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel.

Day 3 Beijing

During today’s trip, you will visit two world cultural heritage sites. The first is the Temple of Heaven, the world’s largest existing ancient sacrificial architectural complex. The Great Wall at Mutianyu is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After driving there for 1.5 hours, we will go up the hill using a chair lift. Then, take a 2-hour hiking tour on the Great Wall. Finally, take a toboggan ride down the hill, which is a big draw here. As the toboggan ride is not covered and the speed requires manual control, for those with little kids, you may let them sit with you. If you don’t like such activities, we can arrange a cable car ride down. For dinner, we highly recommend you dine at the AI-powered Haidilao Hot Pot Restaurant (at your own expense). If you are interested, we can reserve seats for you.

The day will be left for your own arrangement. You can ask your guide for recommendations or simply have fun at Universal Studios theme park, which might be your kids’ favorite.

Day 5 Beijing - Xi’An By High-Speed Train

Beijing - Xi’An By High-Speed Train

We will take you to the Panda Hall to see giant pandas early in the morning, when they are at their activity peak in the day. End the Beijing trip by visiting the Summer Palace. After that, you will be sent to the high speed train station and head to Xi’an. The trip takes about 4.5 to 6 hours. After arriving, your local guide in Xi’an will pick you up and take you to the hotel.

After breakfast, we can spend the morning exploring the must-see Terracotta Army, one of eight wonders of the world. The well-arranged terracotta warriors in three pits will amaze you with their vivid and powerful expressions. After that, you can make your own terracotta warrior in a workshop and take it home.

After returning to downtown, you will visit the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda , the oldest and largest rectangular brick pagoda in China. Then have some free time in the nearby Grand Tang Dynasty Ever-bright City, which is a must-see for tourists and a great place for locals to unwind.

Day 7 Xi’An - Shanghai

In the morning, we will first visit the City Wall Park. Many locals take morning exercise in this public park, such as dancing, Tai Chi, jogging, and playing table tennis. You can practice Tai Chi or table tennis with local residents by interacting with them. Afterwards, we will climb to the City Wall and overlook the city. Then, take a bike for about 30 minutes to an hour to tour the City Wall. If you do not like cycling, we can also go sightseeing by the battery car.

The next stop is the Muslim Quarter, a famous snack street in Xi’an. Over here, you will watch a show of shadow puppetry in the Gao’s Grand Courtyard, the residence of a Ming-era (1368 to 1644 AD) official. It is a form of traditional Chinese theatre protected by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.

Then, your guide will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Shanghai. Your professional Shanghai guide will pick you up from the airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 8 Shanghai

This morning, we will arrive at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall where you can learn more about the city’s past, present, and future plans. Then, head to the refined Yu Garden and its traditional bazaar for a sightseeing experience. A la carte lunch will be specially arranged for you at a decent local restaurant.

After that, let’s take the world’s fastest lift to the 52nd floor of Shanghai Tower to Duoyun Bookstore. While sipping a drink, you can appreciate the eye-level views of the Shanghai World Financial Center, the spire of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, as well as a panorama of the Huangpu River.

Next, you will be guided to the Bund to catch a glimpse of the modern skyscrapers and enjoy an easeful one-hour Huangpu River cruise tour. At the end, take you back to your hotel.

Your China family tour comes to an end today. According to your flight schedule, your guide will escort you on a maglev train to the airport and see you off (our driver will take your luggage to the airport). You are to experience the world’s most advanced mode of transportation, which only takes 7 minutes and has a speed of up to 430 km/h (267 mi/h).
