      This morning, we will pick you up and go to Laguna de Guatavita with a 1.5 hoursโ€™ drive. It is a scenic forest-surrounded crater lake, known as a holy site for local Muisca tribe who cast gold offerings to the lake in ceremonial traditions. It rains on and off, so itโ€™s best to bring an umbrella or a raincoat. Next, we will take a one-hour drive to the Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirรก, a magical church built in the tunnels of an underground salt mine, made entirely of salt and rocks.

      Visit the Mount Monserrate, over 3,048 meters (10,000 feet) in height, dominating the cityโ€™s skyline. Weโ€™ll take a cable car to reach the top and enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. Then drive you to visit the historical and cultural center of the capital city, La Candelaria. First, take a stroll at the main square Plaza de Bolivar and admire its neighboring colonial buildings, such as the Justice Palace and the Cathedral Primada. Then we โ€™ll visit the Museo de Botero, admiring the paintings and sculptures of the renowned Colombian artist and sculptor, Fernando Botero. Lastly, we will visit the Museo del Oro, also known as the Gold Museum, to see the worldโ€™s largest gold artifacts.

      Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Bucaramanga. Upon your arrival, your local guide and driver will pick you up and take you to Barichara in 3 hours. Barichara is a peaceful and picturesque town with a strong Spanish colonial atmosphere. The cobbled streets are centuries old and feature whitewashed houses with red-tiled roofs on both sides. In the afternoon, we โ€™ll explore the small town and discover local stores and manual workshops.

      Hiking Trip To Guane

      Today we will hike to another treasured heritage town called Guane, connected with Barichara by the famous stone-paved trail, Camino Real, which is 9 km (5.6 mi) long, mostly downhill and takes about 2 or 3 hours to complete a hiking. On your way, take in the breathtaking Andes, hike down the rim of a canyon, and walk through a cacti valley. You may also find fossils embedded in the stone road. After arriving in Guane, visit the Archaeology and Paleontology Museum. There are over 1,000 fossils as well as a 700-year-old mummy housed inside. Then you could take a walk in the town before we drive 1.5 hours to the hotel near Chicamocha National Park.

We will hike through teeming trails filled with various types of ferns, see the fountains and waterfalls, and finally view the breathtaking canyon via a cable car ride. Next, we will drive you to take the flight to Medellin, Colombiaโ€™s second-largest city and known as the City of Eternal Spring due to its year-round temperate climate.

      Afterwards, we โ€™ll take a walk in El Poblado, a popular neighborhood surrounded by upscale shopping malls, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Then you could have a free evening exploring the Parque Lleras, the nightlife capital of Medellin. You can try some famous local dishes like Mondongo (honeycomb tripe) soup, have delicious drinks and enjoy Salsa dancing at the street.

Weโ€™ll start by climbing 649 steps to the top of the isolated rock and enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Then walk down the town streets to see the brightly painted houses, cafes, and boutiques.

      Your guide will take you to watch the alms-giving procession in the early morning and visit Phousi Market. After that, you will visit the Royal Palace mixing Buddhist and French architectural styles. Then you will proceed to some famous Buddhist temples including Wat Xieng Thong popular for the โ€œTree of Lifeโ€, Wat Visoun well-known for the 34-meter-high (112 feet) lotus pagoda, Wat Aham famous for its colorful murals and two grand banyans, and Wat Mai - the largest temple in Luang Prabang. Afterward, you will climb up Mount Phousi, the peak of Luang Prabang to overlook the whole city and Mekong River. Coming down from the mountain, you will experience local nightlife in the night market.
