  • Day 1 Day 1: Imi Oughlad To Tiziane

      Day 1: Imi Oughlad To Tiziane

      Youโ€™ll leave the vehicle on the road up towards Imlil at Imi Oughlad (1,450m) where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide. Your first day will be an easier aclimatisation trek in the Ouirgane National Park. The terrain here is gentler with copper green soil and juniper trees. Overnight in Gite in Tinzert, a small rustic Berber Village. Aprox. 4 hrs walking time.

      Day 2: Tiziane To Azib Tkant

      after breakfast we now set off on our hike up along the assif nโ€™ait oussaden valley , passing through the wallnuts groves , up to tizi nโ€™taghrhourte (1995m )and through to a rare almost flat strecth to arrive at assaka spring, where we will stop for our field picnic amidst and awesome silence after some 2 and half hours relatively easy walking .our afternoonโ€™s hike takes us down along the edges of the forest untill we reach the berber village of Dโ€™knt (1870m) or agouns n Assoul where we will have our dinner and spent the in a bivouac / gite.

      Day 3: Azib Tkant To Azib Tamsoult


      we set off for our morningโ€™s 3 hours hike up through groves of walnut trees, fields of corn and barley to greet the many sheep and goatherders โ€“ and women and children bent over with 20kg loads of faggots and dried herbs. We traverse the tizi nโ€™tagdalte to the descent amongst the juniper trees till we come to a small spring set amongst the trees , where we will stop for our picnic .once refreshed , we are off down winding tracks of upper slopes for some 3hours to come to a small river at the beginning of the valley of assif nโ€™ait oussaden . from here we enter the village of tizi oussem (1850m) then up to the summer village Of Tamsoult for our camp / hut


  • Day 4 Day 4: Azib Tamsoult To Jebel Toubkal Refuge

      After breakfast, we now set out eastwards on a moderately difficult hike up winding mule tracks to the Tizi Aguelzim (3550m) , thence a further 3 hours south-east to the Toubkal Refuge which marks the spring snowline at 3207m, where we shall have our dinner, in bivouac around the Refuge

      A very early breakfast to set out around 6am., to attain, after a three hour steep climb, the highest peak in the Maghreb (4167m). The panorama from here is simply stunning. Whenever you are ready, we shall take the Ikkhibi Sud or South Cirque for a straightforward - with your guide - 2 to 3 hour descent back to the Refuge for overnight and rolax in evning.

      Day 6: Refuge Du Toubkal To Imlil

      Following prepared breakfast, w We shall now set off towards the north along steeply descending, zigzagging trails of the higher slopes of the Valley of the Assif nโ€™Isouhouanem nโ€™Ouagounss towards the Shrine of Sidi Chamharouch. Set beside a waterfall, There is a pilgrimage โ€™maraboutโ€™ shrine here, probably the remnant of a pre-Islamic culture, but forbidden to non-Muslims. another 2 hours downhill will allow to get to the village of Imlil from where most of the treks start prior to take the taxi back to Marrakech.

      Not only will you live the sensational traditions through the various Berber villages and dine with the local you will also be at great altitudes giving you epic 360 views from the summit of Jbel Toubkal, during the spectacular sunrise if this is your preference.  This excursion will include approx. 38.5 hrs of trekking over the course of 6 days will be most suitable for mountaineers who enjoy such expeditions and challenges with epic scenic views and aspire to reach mountains while ensuring some hiking experiences in such altitudes with some steep terrains.  N.B. Overnight accommodation: Overnight accommodation is generally either tent or the local refuge/guest house. These options will depend on the season and the weather conditions. Experiences that include camping will include the tent materials and mattresses.   Following your excursion, there is the additional opportunity to stay or dine in our sister guest house in Imlil for those who wish to relax and explore even further either prior or following their trekking expedition.
