What physical condition do I need to complete this experience?

We will climb a high altitude mountain from its base. This experience is a big physical challenge, so we recommend this experience to anyone who leads an active life, do cardiovascular exercise at least three times per week.

How is the weather like in this experience?

Cause the altitude, it is always cold. For the months of November to February we can find sporadic snowfalls and reach temperatures of up to -5 C. From the months of March to June, the sky tends to be clear and we can reach temperatures of up to 0 C. From July to October, there may be heavy rains at night and cloudy sky. Even so, it is important to consider that in the mountains the weather can vary a lot, and despite the forecasts you always have to be prepared for any type of weather.

Is it rigorous to carry the necessary gear?

Yes. It is most important to assist with everything you need. Since without it this experience can go from being a great moment in your life, to being something uncomfortable and even dangerous.

Day 1 Depart from Guadalajara

We will meet with all the team in Guadalajara. We will finish preparing everything necessary and make the drive to Amecameca. We will have approximately 7 hours to drive and you can rest all the way. We will drive through the night and reach our destination by dawn.
Day 2 Arriving to Amecameca
7:00 am - 6:40 pm

Arriving to Amecameca

At Amecameca we can make a last stop to make any last minute purchases for snacks or any thing else that is needed. Once ready we will continue on our way to La Joya. From here you can admire the majestic "Popo" and "Izta" mountians in the distance. This part of the drive is full of amazing views.
Day 3 Summit attack.
1:00 am - 6:40 pm

Summit attack.

We will leave at dawn, with our headlamps and everything necessary to conquer the summit. It will be a big challenge, a hike to a high mountain summit. We will walk for around 7 hours. The trail to the summit is incredible, we will always be surrounded by wonderful landscapes. Hiking time: Approximately 7 hours of climb. Difficulty: Very challenging.
