Tips for the guide, porter and driver (Tipping is expected). Excess baggage more than 15kg for Lukla flight. Please be advised that if you need to return early from the trek due to reasons such as sickness, unfavorable weather conditions, personal issues, itinerary modifications, or any other unforeseen circumstances, the following conditions apply: - Any payments made for flights, hotel accommodations, mountain room bookings, meals, and related expenses are nonrefundable. - You will be required to cover the costs of hotel stays, meals, and other expenses in Kathmandu independently. Additionally, please note that during the months of March to May and September to November, all flights will depart from Ramechhap.   • Day 1 Day 1: Arrival In Kathmandu & Transfer To Hotel.

      On arrival at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by a representative of Sherpa Expedition Teams and taken you to your hotel in Thamel for a briefing of your climb to Lobuche Peak, 

  • Day 2 Day 2: Half Day Sightseeing Tour In Kathmandu & Preparation For The Trip.

      Today we will spend the day visiting the sights in Kathmandu Valley. We will visit the Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa in a private vehicle. We will visit Pashupatinath, a significant Hindu temple and Swayambhunath and Bouddhanath Buddhist temples. Back at the hotel, we will check our gear to ensure we are well prepared before heading off on the trail. 

  • Day 3 Day 3: Fly From Kathmandu To Lukla (2840M) & Trek To Phakding (2610M) Duration 4-5 Hours.

      This morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken you to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu airport for your 40-minute flight to Lukla. During the flight, you will have some great views of the Himalayan Mountains. From Lukla, we head to Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery). We then head to Cheplung Village and down through the forest within sight of the Dudh Koshi River. After we cross the suspension bridge there is a short climb up and across the ridge to Ghat Village. From Ghat the trail passes a school, Mani walls, Chortens and prayer wheels until we arrive at the village of Chhuthawa. Not far from here we come to Phakding.

      Today we cross a bridge over the Dudh Kosi River passing through several quaint villages, such as Tok-Tok, Benkar and Monjo before coming to the entrance gate of Sagarmatha National Park. We then follow the river bed for a few hours and cross the final bridge before we have a steep uphill climb to Namche Bazaar.  Namche Bazaar has many good restaurants, pubs, an internet cafรฉ, post office, and banks. It is a great place to stay the night, explore and relax.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Acclimatization Day At Namche Bazaar.

      It is critical that before heading to higher altitudes we spend time acclimatizing. Health experts recommend that you stay active during this time so as to better advance the acclimatization process. We may decide to trek to Thame or visit Khunde. We can also discover Namche Bazaar and attend the weekly market that is held on Friday evening and on Saturday morning. Your guide can also take you to the Tourist Visitor Center close to the headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park that has an interesting array of equipment and artifacts of the first Everest climbers. You can also find out about the flora and fauna of the region that will also make your trekking more interesting as you identify the plants along the route.

  • Day 6 Day 6: Trek From Namche Bazaar To Tengboche (3860M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      Today we trek to the popular Tengboche Monastery. The trail passes through a rhododendron forest and on this trail you can expect to have some magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8414m), Thamserku (6608m) and Kongde Ri (m) and Ama Dablam (6856m). We will head down to the Imjatse River and stop at Phunke Tenga for lunch. After lunch we continue on to Tengboche.

  • Day 7 Day 7: Trek From Tengboche To Dingboche (4410M) Duration 4-5 Hours.

      Today we have an easy trek to Dingboche, all except for the final leg where we have to ascend a steep hill. First, we come to the villages of Somare (4010m) and Orsho and then further down the trail we come to a fork where we take the left trail that will take us to Pheriche Village. We then cross a bridge before that steep ascent to Dingboche Village (4410m). 


  • Day 8 Day 8: Trek From Dingboche To Lobuche (4910M) Duration 5-6 Hours.

      This morning we follow the trail leading to Dughla Village and then cross a steep moraine located at the base of the Khumbu Glacier and will cross slopes strewn with boulders. We then ascend higher to Chupki Lhara that has stones with prayer flags placed as a memorial to climbers Scott Fischer (American) and ten times Everest climber Babu Chiri Sherpa (Nepalese guide) who died while trying to summit Mt. Everest. Continuing on the trail to Lobuche we can see the Khumbu Glacier moraine and many enormous peaks: Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. 


  • Day 9 Day 9: Trek From Lobuche To Gorakshep (5140M) & Visit Everest Base Camp (5364M) Duration 7-8 Hours.

      Today we trek higher passing Gorak Shep Lake and then come to a memorial in honor of Indian mountaineers who died while attempting to climb Mt.Everest. Walking now is a lot harder as a result of lesser oxygen at these higher altitudes. The trail is rocky with moraines and streams to cross before coming to EBC. The first thing that hits you on arrival at EBC is the array of colorful tents of mountaineers patiently waiting for the right weather before an attempt on the summit of Mt. Everest. From EBC we can plainly see Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Khumbutse and Mt. Pumori and the dazzling white snow on their peaks. After a short rest and look around EBC we then head down to Gorak Shep for a well-earned nightโ€™s sleep.

      Today in the early morning hours we will catch those remarkable views from Kala Patthar, witnessing the new day and the constantly changing light shine on Mount Everest. We should need to be prepared for the dark and cold temperature (-10 to -14 C) before departing for Kala Patthar peak. There are often some very cold winds on the trek to the peak. In the east are the peaks: Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Nuptse and Mt. Everest that are gradually exposed in the early morning light. After reaching the summit we can sit on the rocks and take in the magnificent views of the Himalayan Mountains. This is absolutely one of the best places to capture photos of Mt.Everest. We then return to Gorak Shep for breakfast before a gradual descent to Lobuche Village.

      This morning we head across the moraines to High Camp. It gets quite steep and requires that we are careful where we walk. After arriving here we will go over some climbing techniques in preparation for our climb to the summit.

      Today is the day we have been anxiously been waiting for as we begin our climb in the early pre-dawn dark hours so as to reach the summit in the calmer morning hours. Lobuche East offers more panoramic views of the mountains than views from many other peaks, such as Island Peak. At Lobuche summit you have incredible views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pumori, and other close by snow covered peaks. Our time at the summit is spent taking photos and resting before heading back to High Camp for the night.

      Today we will follow the trail along the ridge until we arrive at Pangboche. We then descend through the forest, crossing a suspension bridge before coming to Tengboche which is a popular stopping off point in the Khumbu district. 

  • Day 15 Day 15: Trek From Tengboche To Monjo (2835M) Duration 6-7 Hours.

      This morning we descend to the Imja Khola (river) and following the trail to Phunke Tenga and then Namche Bazaar. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and along the way we pass yaks grazing until coming to Namche Bazaar.

      This morning we head off on the trail and cross several suspension bridges over the rapid flowing Dudh Koshi River across open plains and through rhododendron and pine forests. We will pass several Sherpa villages along the way until we come to Lukla where we can look back and reminisce. We can also celebrate the successful completion of our climbing adventure to Lobuche East Peak. 

  • Day 17 Day 17: Early Morning Fly From Lukla To Kathmandu And & Transfer To Hotel.

      This morning we have a scenic flight back to Kathmandu after our journey through the mountains. On arrival in Kathmandu, we will take you to your hotels in Thamel where you can relax or wander around the shops for some last-minute shopping.

      Today a representative from Sherpa Expedition Teams will drive you to the Tribhuvan International Airport at least three hours prior to your departure.
