Itinerary of your trip Conquer Mount Meru In 5 Days

  • Day 1 Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha

      On arrival, our representative will pick you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and take you to Arusha town which will approximately 1 hour. In the evening, you will have a short briefing from our operation manager regarding you climb the next morning. Dinner and overnight at Lodge Tellamande/Outpost Lodge.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Arusha National Park
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 2: Arusha National Park

      Depart Arusha at 07:30 and head to the Momella Gate with the Tanzanian tour guide. On completion of park formalities, begin the trek past the Ngarenanyuki River and on to the Miriakamba Hut for overnight stay.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Miriakamba Hut
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 3: Miriakamba Hut

      After breakfast, follow an ascending path along the steep saddle to the saddle hut. From here, you can trek to little Meru and return to the saddle hut for overnight stay.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Mt Meru
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Mt Meru

      Early start for the summit of Meru (4,565 m). After a brief stop and rest, descend to the Miriakamba Hut for overnight stay.

  • Day 5 Day 5: Miriakamba Hut / Arusha
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 5: Miriakamba Hut / Arusha

      After a good rest and breakfast, descend to the Momella Gate. Head back to Arusha.
