      It is a very different journey, characterized by undisturbed peace, profound silence and a unique microclimate that invites you to enjoy life in contact with nature while the most daring are ready to practice various adventure tourism options. 

      ยญStarting from the capital of La Rioja, visiting the western residential area of the city, the Padercitas, the Quebrada, the tunnel, the Dique de los Sauces, the summer villa Sanagasta, the caves of La Salamanca, the Huaco Valley, crossing the slope of the same name with magnificent views to begin a tour of a chain of picturesque towns at the foot of the Sierra del Velasco: Agua Blanca, Las Peรฑas, Chuquis, where the Solar de los Castro y Barros is located, a house museum to visit, continuing through Pinchas, Aminga, and Anillaco. From Anillaco, we return to La Rioja.

      It is a route to 10 beautiful towns that allow you to delve into the culture of this wonderful province. The circuit owes its name to the action of going along the hills and discovering the stories of its inhabitants.

      Breakfast and excursion to Quebrada & Dique Los Sauces:  An oasis in the desert,  located a few kilometers from La Rioja at the end of the Los Sauces ravine, it is surrounded by hills that offer magnificent panoramic views with places suitable for camping and spas open in summer for water sports.

      This picturesque place is surrounded by the El Peรฑรณn hill, 1,800 m.a.s.l., on the right and by the Cerro de la Cruz, 1,600 m.a.s.l., on the left. Between them is the ravine that gave the dam its name.

      Los Sauces Dam is one of the most important in the province. is a tourist attraction with recreational activities such as fishing, boating and recreation areas. You can see colorful rock formations such as the โ€œGypsy skirtโ€ โ€“ in reference to its shape โ€“ which is eroded by water and wind and has a high content of iron oxide, copper and lime.
