      Day 2: Amman, Beida, Jordan

      Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Kerak - Beida (B/L/D)

Today you’ll be transferred to Madaba, a lively town which is a short drive west of Amman and famous for the mosaic map of the Holy Land that was found on the floor of a ruined Byzantine church there. The next stop is Mount Nebo, a hilltop with sweeping views down to the Dead Sea and across the Jordan River towards Palestine. On a clear day you can see Jericho and even Jerusalem from here. You will then continue to Kerak along the King’s Highway, which is said to be the oldest continuously used road in the world. You will finish the day in Beida where you will spend the night in a Bedouin Camp.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Beida - Petra - Beida, Jordan
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Beida - Petra - Beida, Jordan

      Petra Back Trail (B/L/D)

Today you will visit one of the 7 Wonders of the New World, the rose red city of Petra, via a spectacular but little-known Bedouin trail through the mountains. Along the trek you will see one of the city’s most impressive sights: the immense rock-cut façade of ad Deir, the Monastery. Youโ€™ll wander through the temples and tombs before leaving through a secret slot canyon (‘the Dark Siq’) and then, following the main siq, you’ll reach the classic entry into the city. This route enables you to experience the two greatest approaches to the city in a single day. Overnight in your Bedouin Camp in Beida.

*Please note: Depending on your physical condition, the rain season, and the condition of the Dark Siq at the time of your tour, your guide reserves the full right to follow an alternative route.

  • Day 4 Day 4: Dead Sea, Jordan
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Day 4: Dead Sea, Jordan

After breakfast head further north to the Dead Sea, enjoy the day at the sea and the evening at your hotel. (B/D)

After breakfast you will head north to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth at some 420 meters below sea level. Enjoy the bizarre but delightful experience of floating on the surface of the buoyant waters, four times saltier than regular seawater. The high content of salt in combination with 30+ minerals gives the water curative and therapeutic qualities for numerous ailments. After your float, check into your hotel then spend the day relaxing. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in the Dead Sea area.
