      Day 1: Arrival At Airport - Amman

      Arrive at Amman Airport, 

      Amman is one of the oldest cities in the world, inhabited since the bronze age. The city is growing into a modern city, but retains its character and history.


      Upon your arrival to Amman, you will need to go to your pre-booked hotel in Amman (Hotel location to be shared).


      Depending on your flight arrival time, you may have free time to explore on your own.

  • Day 2 Day 2: Petra Back Way

      Day 2: Petra Back Way

      After breakfast, you will be transferred to Little Petra ( Hiking start point)


      Back-Way Hike

      Today we will enter Petra via โ€˜the Back Door,โ€™ avoiding most of the crowds. We will hike a beautiful route up out of the desert valley that skirts around a sandstone mountain into a hidden high plateau and the back entrance to Petra.


      Monastery

      Your hike is rewarded as you approach the largest and best-preserved facade in all of Petra. Without the crowds of the main sites below, this site is great for photos!


      Amphitheatre

      View the impressive theatre, carved into the mountain about 2000 years ago, with a capacity of 4000 spectators.


      Treasury

      Awe at the most-well known facade in Petra, expertly carved into the side of the cliff and standing almost 40 meters tall.


      Siq

      Exit the Nabatean city through the magnificent tall slot-canyon main entrance to Petra known as the Siq.


      Finish

      From there, we will head to the Visitorโ€™s Center, where todayโ€™s tour ends.

  • Day 3 Day 3: Petra Trails

      Day 3: Petra Trails

      After your breakfast, we will start our hikes in Petra.


      Madrass Trail

      We will start on the main trail before quickly departing near the Obelisk Tomb. From there, we will head out on the Madras Trail, tucked in the hills south of the Siq.


      High Place of Sacrifice

      From this back entrance, weโ€™ll climb up to the High Place of sacrifice with sweeping views of the Royal Tombs.


      Wadi Farasa

      Afterward, you will pass many sites including, the Renaissance Tomb, the Soldier Tomb, and then finishing at the Colonnaded Street in the Ancient Roman City in the heart of Petra.


      Free Exploration

      From the center of Petra, you will have free time to further explore the magical site on your own or head back to enjoy the cave bar or get some rest. You can head back down along the street of facades and the main trail, or for the adventurous, there are several good options to explore โ€“ including Jabal Khubtha, Um Bayyara, and more!

  • Day 4 Day 4: Cycle Shobak To Little Petra

      Day 4: Cycle Shobak To Little Petra

      Shobak Castle

      Start the day with a short transfer to Shobak Castle, the first of a series of Crusader Castles built in Jordan to control the regionโ€™s trade.


      Cycle

      From Shobak we start our ride on one of the most epic stages of the Jordan Bike Trail to Little Petra. Mostly on dirt tracks with a section of paved roads, this route leads us around the mountains of Dana and Petra with great views across the Jordan Valley. Lunch boxes will be provided on our way by a local family from Petra.


      Little Petra

      Close to the end of the ride enjoy a visit to Little Petra โ€“ an ancient suburb of Petra.


      Bedouin Camp

      Weโ€™ll stay at a Bedouin camp, hidden behind the regionโ€™s typical sandstone mushroom rocks, where you will get a first-hand impression of the traditional Bedouin hospitality.

      Start

      After breakfast, we will take a short transfer up the hill from Petra to a nice spot off the main road and just past the small town of Rajif.


      Cycle

      Todayโ€™s ride is a long descent off-road towards Wadi Rum followed by an enjoyable flat section on hard sand in the wide-open desert.


      Wadi Rum

      Once the ride is over, jump on a jeep safari to explore this World Heritage Site, traveling around Wadi Rumโ€™s valleys, canyons, dunes, and deserts, discovering rock inscriptions, majestic views of mountains and landscapes, and narrow gorges. At each stop you have the opportunity to hike and scramble and explore in your own time.

      Day 6: Wadi Rum - Summit Um Ad-Dami Jordanโ€™S Highest Peak -Wadi Rum

      Today, we will summit Jordanโ€™s highest mountain. Jabal Umm ad-Dami (1854m) is located 35km south-east from Wadi Rum Village, close to the border Saudi Arabian border. The hike is a moderate one; from the foot of the mountain it will take about 2-3 hours to reach itโ€™s top. ..and the stunning desert views are absolutely worth every effort!

      Hiking Distance: 5Km, Ascent: 500m, Decent: 500m

      Depart

      Today, we will leave the desert and proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth.


      Relax at the Dead Sea

      You can spend some time floating in the salty waters, try out the โ€˜magicalโ€™ Dead Sea mud, relax by the pool, or pamper yourself with some spa treatments โ€“ the perfect cure if your legs are still tired and sore from all the hiking.


      Head Back to Amman

      In the late afternoon, we will hop on the bus for the last time, and follow the long, winding road up to Amman โ€“ to return to where the adventure began.
