      Amman - Jerash - Amman City Tour - Bedouin Camp (B/L/D)


      Today you will be transferred from your hostel in Amman to Jerash, where you will meet a group for your Jerash tour. Discover the incredibly preserved, ancient Roman city of Jerash with its impressive hippodrome, churches, amphitheater, baths, colonnaded streets and beautiful mosaics. Immerse yourself in this intriguing city with a fascinating mix of Eastern and Western architecture, and then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.


      After, return to Amman where you will explore the modern city centre, an important cultural, political and economic area for the country. See the old Citadel perched atop a hill in the middle of the city and tour the Temple of Hercules among other historical palaces with sweeping panoramic views of modern day Amman. Continue your travels south into the desert where you will stay overnight at a comfortable Bedouin camp to take a peek into their unique desert existence and share a tasty meal. These nomadic desert dwellers have inhabited the region for thousands of years. Overnight in Bedouin Camp.

      The breathtaking city of Petra, has been described as the “Rose-red city half the age of time” and is one of the world’s seven wonders. Its unbelievably beautiful architecture was carved into the valley’s sandstone walls thousands of years ago during the height of the Nabatean civilization. Even for the most experienced traveller, a visit to Petra will leave you speechless. Petra only recently became accessible after centuries of being hidden underneath the desert sands. We will tour the site including stops at the Amphitheater, Treasury, Siq and the visitor centre with our guide who will explain the importance of each locale and the history of the city along the way. Take some free time at the end of the tour to explore Petra on your own. Take a walk to the Monastery, located at the top of a giant staircase, walk to the Roman Cardo, or climb to the Royal Tombs. Meet your group for lunch and then return to Amman. Overnight in Amman.
