Today we start the adventure with the magnificent Wadi Mujib wet adventure hike. Soak in the beautiful views of the Dead Sea on the way, and get ready for a self-guided hike on the Siq (Valley) Trail. Enjoy a couple of hours of hiking, swimming, climbing, and more through the stunning gorge of sandstone cliffs - a natural gem! The course of the gorge will take you to a beautiful waterfall before turning back towards the visitor's center. Upon drying off, we will head to Little Petra to get a preview of the site the next day! The site, also known as Siq al-Barid (the Cold Canyon), is believed to be a โ€˜suburbโ€™ of Petra, and was probably meant to house traders traveling along the Silk Road.  Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Bedouin Camp at Little Petra

  • Day 3 Day 3: Hike From Little Petra To Petra - Wadi Rum
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 3: Hike From Little Petra To Petra - Wadi Rum

Today, we will enter the World Wonder and ancient-rose-city of  Petra โ€˜via the Back Doorโ€™, avoiding most other tourists. Amidst high sandstone mountains, a Nabataean route leads us out of the valley, and skirts around the final mountain on a natural rock terrace before reaching a hidden plateau high where the โ€˜the Monasteryโ€™ suddenly comes into view. Many that go to Petra say the Monastery is their favorite site in Petra due to its enormous size, lack of other tourists, and better photo opportunities. There also is a Bedouin cafรฉ for refreshments nearby. Then, more Nabataean steps will lead us down into the main site. Weโ€™ll make our way through a colonnaded street, past rock cut tombs, temples, and a Roman style theater, to finally arrive at Petraโ€™s probably most famous building - the Treasury. Take your time to marvel at the faรงadeโ€™s detailed artworks. After a final look, weโ€™ll leave the site through the Siq a narrow, high walled canyon, and then head on to the beautiful desert of Wadi Rum where we'll spend the night. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum Hiking Distance: 14Km Ascent: 496m Descent: 519m

  • Day 4 Day 4: Hike Jordan'S Highest Peak In Wadi Rum
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

Day 4: Hike Jordan'S Highest Peak In Wadi Rum

Today we'll summit Jordan's highest peak - Jabal Umm ad-Dami. A long jeep ride to a remote area in Wadi rum through the stunning desert landscape will take us to the base of the mountain. The hiking path is very steep and a little strenuous, but overall it's a moderate hike. The hike will only take about 2-3 hours to get to the top and back down again (depending on your level of fitness). From the summit's peak, you'll reap the reward - stunning desert views. Standing at an altitude of 1854m above sea level, you may be able to see to the south a wide mountain panorama far into Saudi Arabia, and to the North you can spot Rum Village and the famous Seven Pillars of Wisdom at the horizon. On a clear day, you can also see Aqaba, Eilat, the Sinai and Red Sea! After the hike we'll enjoy a delicious lunch cooked in the middle of the desert wilderness on a fire, and then return to the camp to relax and recover, and spend another night in Wadi Rum, enjoying the traditional Bedouin hospitality and a breathtaking night sky. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Overnight: Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum Hiking Distance: 5Km Ascent: 500m Descent: 500m
