Day 1: ARRIVAL TROMSร - MALANGEN
Pass By: Tromso, Tromso, Troms, Northern Norway
Upon arrival in Tromsรธ by flight (excluded), we will provide a transfer from the airport to the hotel in Malangen resort at 16:30. The transfer is about 75 minutes.
Stop At: Malangen Brygger Resort, Skutvik, 9055 Mestervik, Norway
Stay overnight at Malangen Resort, the accommodation is located right down on the coastal rocks so you can awake to the relaxing sound of waves gently lapping just a few metres away.
The cosy apartments feature has a waterfront balcony, a comfortable lounge with spectacular views, private bathroom with shower and toilet.
The glass-fronted sauna and open-air hot tub are located near the waterfront so you can enjoy unsurpassed views of the spectacular fjord and mountains while relaxing in the warmth of the sauna.
If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the majestic Northern Lights during a relaxing dip in the wintertime.

Day 2: TROMSร โ EMBARKATION

We will start a King Crab Fishing tour in the moring followed by a king crab meal.
In the afternoon, the tour will end in Tromsรธ city center where we will have a city tour in Tromsรธ. The colourful, wooden houses, the distinct looking arctic Cathedral, hospitable people, thought-provoking culture and arctic cuisine the surrounding wind-swept islands, sheltered fiords and majestic 1800 metres high Lyngen alps are all a mere 2000 kilometres away from the north pole.
Evening embarkation at pier. Welcome, safety briefings and buffet dinner on board. After dinner, we will begin a journey sailing mile of rugged coast under the magical northern lights. Please bring proper warm, and water/windproof clothing and warm boots.

In the morning, we will visit a in a local salmon farm with a history of five generations. A guided tour and a food tasting will be arranged at the salmon farming site.
โ Salmon Farm visit and salmon tasting: Going out to the cage of salmon on a RIB boat to experience how the salmon is grown and taste the local salmon in four ways: the fresh salmon, smoked salmon, Sashimi and Fermented salmon.

After lunch, the ship dock in the island of Senja. The island of Senja is the second largest island in Norway, often referred to as โNorway in miniatureโ. Led by the expedition guide, you will explore the arctic town โ Skrolsvik along the nature trails with snowshoes on. You will visit a 130-year-old general store that has been functioned as an office for the lcoal fish factory and shipping company. Todayโs furnishing are the originals from 1925 and it is now a combination of museum, souvenir shop and a cafe.
โ Skrolsvik: Located in a sheltered bay in the south of Senja, this small fishing community has a strong tradition in halibut fishing. This is the place to experience authentic coastal heritage. Weโll provide you with MSR lightweight snowshoes that easily attach to rubber boots or sturdy hiking boots
After dinner, our knowledgeable guide will conduct a lecture on board which covers topics such as Aurora Borealis, wildlife, nature and history.

Day 4: TROLLFJORD โ SKROVA โ REINE
Stop At: Trollfjord, Hadsel Municipality, Norway
In the morning, you will find yourself in the Vestfjord. The ship will rig the sails for a magnificent sunrise. As the ship sails through a narrow passage with steep rocks on both sides, forming wall like structures, we will watch for sea and white-headed eagles soaring with us. The is one of the most beautiful and impressive fjords of the Lofoten and offers an experience you will dream of! A Zodiac Excursion will be planned in the majestic Trollfjorden.

In the afternoon, the ship will dock in Skrova where a short hike will be arranged to visit a photograph exhibition titled โTunnelsynโ (Tunnel Vision) inside a tunnel where there is a collection of historical photographs from this island.
โ Skrova: With its population of around 230, Skrova has been a centre for fisheries and whaling for many decades. This authentic fishing village offers visitors the chance to relax in peaceful surroundings. With its wonderful sandy beaches this island is a pearl in the Vestfjord and is also known for the best views of the Lofoten islands.

If the weather permits, a landing by Zodiac at the Remรธya beach will be arranged, where you will face the beautiful Litlmolla (Lille Molla), an uninhabited island with the highest point at 543 metre, also known as the โVestrahornโ of Lofoten islands.
Around 22:00, we will disembark on the pier and transfer to Hamnรธy bridge photo spot viewpoint. If we are lucky enough, we may be able to get the memorable photos of northern lights. Tonight, the sailing ship will stay in Reine.

Day 5: REINE - SAKRISรY - HAMNรY

In the morning, we will arrive in Reine, the tiny picturesque fishing village nestled between staggering peaks of granite on the eastern side of the Lofoten.
โ Reine: The breath-taking village is located on the island of Moskenesรธya on northern Norwayโs Lofoten archipelago. With red and white fishermenโs huts dotting the shoreline and surrounding peaks of granite shooting out of the Reinefjorden, the village has earned a reputation as โthe most beautiful place in the world.

Stop At: Bunes Beach, Moskenesoya, Reine, Moskenes Municipality Norway
you will choose either visit Bunes Beach by zodic cruise or hiking Ryten viewpoint. (You will not be able to participate both activity at the same time)
If the weather permits, we will start a zodiac cruise in Reine. We will land in Vindstad and start a hike to the hidden pearl โBunes beachโ, accessible only by boat. The alternative route will be a zodiac cruise to the Kirkfjorden.
โ Bunes Beach (2h): With its vast expanses of white sand and imposing mountains, Bunes is one of Lofotenโs most scenic and isolated beaches. After hiking through a small and cosy little village. A nice and easy trail leads us over to the beautiful Bunes beach with its white sands and turquoise water.

โ Hiking Ryten viewpoint: The hike to Ryten is a beautiful trail that overlooks the whole Fredvang area and Kvalvika Beach. By Lofoten standards, it is a relatively easy hike, which is less steep and less strenuous. It is possible to do the hike in winter, if the weather permits and with snowshoes.
We will provide snowshoes and a hiking guide. Hike up Ryten mountain to views of Kvalvika Beach, surrounding peaks, and the gorgeous fjords all around you.

Day 7: HENNINGSVรR - SVOLVรR

In the morning, we will explore the โVenice of Lofotenโ โ Henningsvรฆr.
โ Henningsvรฆr: Henningsvรฆr is set on a group of tiny islands seemingly dropped into the ocean at the foot of the imposing Vรฅgakallen mountain. The stunning setting and mix of traditional wooden architecture with modern art galleries makes this island village one of a kind. The entrance, a narrow waterside road with small picturesque bridges that clings to the base of the mountain, making the drive to Henningsvรฆr an absolute treat for your senses.

At the Lofoten Aquarium you can learn about the Lofoten cod, also known as skrei: The east Atlantic cod which every winter migrate from the Barents Sea to Lofoten to spawn. One of the highlights of your visit will be the feeding time for the seals and otters in their outdoor pools, and the Lofoten Aquarium additionally features photo exhibitions and films, a souvenir shop, and a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and excellent views

Day 7: HENNINGSVรR - SVOLVรR

In the morning, we will explore the โVenice of Lofotenโ โ Henningsvรฆr.
โ Henningsvรฆr: Henningsvรฆr is set on a group of tiny islands seemingly dropped into the ocean at the foot of the imposing Vรฅgakallen mountain. The stunning setting and mix of traditional wooden architecture with modern art galleries makes this island village one of a kind. The entrance, a narrow waterside road with small picturesque bridges that clings to the base of the mountain, making the drive to Henningsvรฆr an absolute treat for your senses.

At the Lofoten Aquarium you can learn about the Lofoten cod, also known as skrei: The east Atlantic cod which every winter migrate from the Barents Sea to Lofoten to spawn. One of the highlights of your visit will be the feeding time for the seals and otters in their outdoor pools, and the Lofoten Aquarium additionally features photo exhibitions and films, a souvenir shop, and a cafe where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and excellent views

We will explore Svolvรฆr by a walk through the compact town centre to reach the main square. View the villageโs traditional seaside architecture and brightly painted facades.
โ Svolvรฆr: a quaint harbour borders the open ocean of Vestfjorden and a jagged mountain range arcs around the northern part of the village. The most distinctive of these mountains is Flรธyfjellet. Its horned pinnacle is known as Svolvรฆrgeita (Svolvรฆr Goat).

In the evening at 21:00, we will spend the last night in Svolvรฆr. If the weather permits, we will start an Aurora hunt to the picturesque village of Kabelvรฅg.
โ Northern Light in Kabelvรฅg: This quiet town is the perfect place to view the Northern Lights featuring unobscured clear vistas over the water. Enjoy a Norwegian coffee and the good atmosphere, then journey outside to observe the Northern lights.
