DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01- PARO TO THIMPHU

You will be received at the Paro airport, and then have a smooth drive towards Thimphu which would approximately take 1 hour from Paro. After lunch you will visit the following placesย

DAY 02-THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA

Travel to Punakha (2 hoursโ€™ drive)

โ€ข Punakha Dzong
โ€ข Chimi Lhakhang

ย DAY 03- ATTEND THE PUNAKHA FESTIVAL

We shall spend the entire day in the Punakha Dzong witnessing the Punakha Tshechu.

ย DAY 04 -ย PUNAKHA TO POBJIKA

Explore Gangtey/ Phobjika valley
โ€ข The Phobjika valley is one of the most beautiful U-shaped valley in Bhutan.Phobkijka valley is home to Black necked cranes (endangered bird) which flies to Bhutan from Tibetan plateau during winter to roost.ย 
โ€ข Visit Gangtey Goenpa (monastery)-which is built on a hill top. It is the only Nyingmapas monastery on the western side of the Black Mountain. Moreover, it is the biggest Nyingmapas monastery in the country.
โ€ข Drive to Punakha in the evening

DAY 05-PUNAKHA--ATTEND THE FESTIVAL

We shall spend the entire day in the Punakha Dzong witnessing the Punakha Tshechu. Overnight stay at your hotel in Punakha.

DAY 06-ย PUNAKHA TO THIMPHU TO PARO

In the morning, we will drive back to Thimphu in the morning and do some sightseeing in Thimphu.You will visit the following places in Thimphu.
โ€ข Visit Tashi Chhoe Dzong.
โ€ข Visit Bhutanese Craft Bazaar
โ€ข Watch Archery game
โ€ข Visit centenary marketย 

ย DAY 07-ย PARO

After the breakfast, ย we will accompany you to Taa Dzong (Museum)-Paro Rinpung Dzong , Drugyal Dzong, and Kicchu Lhakhang.

ย DAY 08-ย PARO-HIKE TO PARO TAKTSHANG

After the breakfast, there will be a hike to Taktsang Monastery. Paro Taktshang is one of the most prominent tourist destinations of the country and your trip would be tedious without visiting this most important Buddhist temple.ย 

ย In the evening, we will accompany you to a farm house in Paro for a hot stone bath. This traditional bath uses fresh water from the river mixed with Artemisia leaves.ย 

DAY 09-ย DEPARTURE FROM PARO AIRPORT

After the breakfast, we will drop you to the Paro International Airport from where you will fly back home
