Day 1: ARRIVAL AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (45 mins)

Stop At: Entebbe Botanic Gardens, Berkely Rd, Entebbe Uganda
Upon your arrival in Entebbe, you will be picked up by a company representative transferred to your hotel. Optional visit to Entebbe Botanical Gardens.

Day 2: KAMPALA โ€“ KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK (7 hrs)

Stop At: Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking, Fort Portal Uganda
After breakfast, we will depart Kampala and head west to Fort Portal. Look out for black-and-white colobus monkeys, baboons and more primates hiding in trees along the road. You will have lunch in Fort Portal Town, this area is famed for the fabled Mountains of the Moon and many tea plantations. From this lovely town, we will continue to Kibale National Park for a stay within the tropical forest.

Day 3: Chimp trekking and Bigodi Swamp

Stop At: Kibale National Park, Kibale National Park, Western Region
Breakfast at 6:00 am head to the park arriving in time for a briefing session at 7:30 am at the park headquarters which is a 10 minutesโ€™ stroll from the lodge. Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable for having the greatest variety and the highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. Upon sighting the chimpanzees, you will stay with them for one unforgettable hour as they continue their daily routine. After lunch at the primate lodge, you will transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for a 2 hoursโ€™ nature walk- home of 200 bird species including the Papyrus Gonolek and the Great Blue Turaco. The Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates.

Day 4: KIBALE FOREST โ€“ BWINDI NATIONAL PARK (7 hrs)

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
After breakfast, head to the southern part of Uganda passing through traditional homesteads. Have a picnic lunch and proceed to Bwindi, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 5: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Western Region
Arise early today and prepare for the highlight of your safari, an unforgettable encounter with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Following breakfast, transfer to the national park offices where you will be allocated a gorilla family in groups of 8 as well as a gorilla tracking guide.

After a pre-tracking briefing by your guide touching on the gorillas generally, your assigned gorilla family as well as appropriate safety precautions, you drive to the trailhead for the start of a thrilling adventure โ€“ participants can expect to walk long distances in steep and sometimes muddy conditions with rain overhead, which can be challenging, however the thrill of coming face to face with a giant Mountain Gorilla silverback far more than makes up for the effort in their quest. Granted the time taken can be quite unpredictable taking anything from 2 to 8 hrs or longer.

You will have packed lunch from the lodge for this hike. Upon sighting the gorillas, you spend the allowed one hour with them as they go about their daily life; feeding, moving, playing, raising their young and sometimes wrestling by the juveniles โ€“ it is a totally unique and unforgettable experience!

Day 6: BWINDI NATIONAL PARK โ€“ KAMPALA (11 hrs)

Stop At: Kampala, Kampala, Central Region
After breakfast, we depart the impenetrable forest of Bwindi and head back towards the capital city. With lunch, en route in Mbarara and a stopover at the Equator watch the water flow demonstration of the northern and southern hemisphere. Later proceed to Entebbe arriving in the evening.

Day 7: KAMPALA -NGAMBA ISLAND ( 45mins)

Stop At: Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, Plot 1 Bank Close, Entebbe Uganda
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Pier for a visit to the island of the chimpanzees! for the 45 minutesโ€™ boat cruise at 9:00 am to Ngamba Island arriving in time for the Chimpanzee Feeding Session. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will be directed to the visitorโ€™s centre where you will be given an introduction to the project, its history, the chimpanzee residents and their plight.

You will receive an educational orientation by a chimpanzee caregiver and view a feeding of the chimpanzees from the visitors raised platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence at 11:00 am before having lunch at the Island. Later head back to the mainland and head to the

Day 8: Departure
