      Youโ€™ll begin your first day in Tokyo by visiting Meiji Jingu Shrine, Tokyoโ€™s largest and most influential spiritual site. Located just beside the JR Yamanote Lineโ€™s busy Harajuku Station, the Shrine and the adjacent Yoyogi Park make up a large forested area within the densely built-up city. The spacious shrine grounds offer walking paths that are great for a relaxing stroll.


      Then youโ€™ll check out Shinjuku Gyoen, one of the cityโ€™s largest parks, transforms into a stunning cherry blossom haven each spring. 


      Youโ€™ll then venture to Chidorigafuchi Parkโ€™s picturesque path along the Imperial Palace moat, featuring a 700-meter tunnel of cherry trees, just a short walk away from either Kudanshita or Hanzomon Station.

       

      Youโ€™ll wind down at the Meguro River, flowing through Tokyo, is a beloved spot for cherry blossom viewing during spring, complemented by its tributaries: the Kitazawa and Karasuyama Rivers.

      Youโ€™ll begin your day with a trip to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Founded in 778, Kiyomizu-temple is one of Kyotoโ€™s oldest monasteries and was added to the World Heritage List in 1994. The Shimizu stage hanging in front of this hall is a precious cultural relic of Japan, surrounded by green trees. In spring, cherry blossoms are in full bloom, which is one of the famous places for appreciating cherry blossoms in Kyoto. In autumn, it becomes a holy place for appreciating maple trees.

      Then, youโ€™ll visit the stunning Higashi Honganji Temple. An incredible feat of traditional Japanese architecture, it was built in 1602 and located near Nishi Honganji Temple. These two enormous temples once formed a united complex before being separated during feudal times due to concerns over political influence. Today, Higashi Honganji continues to inviting visitors from all over the globe and maintains a significant role within Japanโ€™s religious landscape as the head temple of the Otani faction of Jodo-shin Buddhism, and houses the Goeido: one of the worldโ€™s largest wooden structures, and the nearby Amidado Hall.
