  • Day 2 Giza, The Pyramids & Saqqara
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Giza, The Pyramids & Saqqara

Today you are having a delicious breakfast with typical food. The route will begin through the most interesting points of interest in Cairo.

The Pyramids of Giza is the first place we will visit with our official English-speaker guide. You will amaze at the majesty of the Great Sphinx of Giza, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and the Pyramid of Khufu. This is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world still in existence. You can watch it from the main entrance esplanade and from closer.

Optionally, you can add the excursion to the Necropolis of Saqqara. Inside this World Heritage, the funerary complex of King Djoser stands out. This is a building built to honor the king in the afterlife. The Pyramid of Djoser is the first stone structure built in a pyramidal shape. It symbolizes the beginning of this type of construction in Egypt.

By night, you can hire a light show on the Giza Pyramids. You can also enjoy a unique dinner show in a floating restaurant on the Nile. Ask your travel assistant for more information.

  • Day 3 Cairo & Aswan
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Cairo & Aswan

Early in the morning and after a refreshing breakfast, your English-speaking staff will transfer you to the Cairo Airport where you will take a flight to the city of Aswan.

Then you will travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the city of Aswan, where you will embark to visit the inaccessible island of Philae and see the temple built in honor of the goddess Isis and which, like Abu Simbel and other temples in Egypt, had to be moved from its location due to the danger of being covered by the flooding of the Nile.

Later, you will visit the famous Aswan Dam, an impressive work of hydraulic engineering started by the British Empire and completed by the Egyptians in the middle of the last century.

Later you will take advantage of the occasion and take a picturesque ride in felucca, the traditional quintessential Egyptian wooden boat chosen for trade along the Nile for its excellent maneuverability and from where you will enjoy the landscape and a refreshing atmosphere.

During your walk, you will be able to see Elephantine Island, one of the oldest ivory trading centers in the world, as well as Kitchener Island, famous for housing a beautiful botanical garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. A simple glance will serve to understand why the Supreme Ismaelite Chief chose this place for his eternal rest. At night, you will enjoy a tasty dinner on board and then rest.

  • Day 4 Aswan, Kom Ombo & Edfu
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Aswan, Kom Ombo & Edfu

After enjoying a delicious breakfast on board, you can optionally take a fascinating excursion to the temples of Abu Simbel and explore its renowned archaeological complex.

Within the complex, the Temple of Ramses II takes center stage, boasting four awe-inspiring statues standing about 20 meters tall on its main facade. Whether during the day or at night, the illuminated temple showcases a mesmerizing play of light on the stone.

Continuing the journey, weโ€™ll sail towards Kom Ombo, where youโ€™ll have the opportunity to visit the temple dedicated to Haroeris, the falcon god, and Sobek, the crocodile god. A brief stop at an exhibition featuring well-preserved mummified crocodiles will provide insights into the intriguing culture of Ancient Egypt.

Following the visit, youโ€™ll set sail towards Edfu, where youโ€™ll spend a restful night on board.

Dedicated to the god of gods, Horus, this architectural marvel stands as Egyptโ€™s second-largest temple, rivaling the grandeur of the Karnak temple. Remarkably well-preserved, it offers captivating inscriptions on its walls that unveil fascinating insights into the mythology, religion, and daily life of the Greco-Roman civilization during the Hellenistic period (237-57 BC).

Continuing our journey, weโ€™ll venture towards Esna, passing through the awe-inspiring Nile lock, an engineering marvel designed to regulate a remarkable 10-meter drop.

Our next destination awaits in Luxor, the city of temples. Indulge in a delectable dinner on board, followed by a well-deserved rest.
