We visit the Kasbah of the Glaoui Royal Family before we continue our tour through the impressive gorges of the High Atlas to the fortified city of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. This was another residence of the Atlas King El-Glaoui and already served in many films as impressive backdrop. In the evening we reach the oasis of Skoura, surrounded by a very special landscape. Today we start by entering the Rose Valley. We are following the road until Boutaghrar and then go off-road. High up in the mountain we visit a group of native Berber, living in caves like in former times. Hospitality is a major sign of respect and we are invited for a cup of tea and an interchange of traditions. We then head out towards the Sahara Desert, past stunning Kasbahs, stopping at Erfoud to visit its renowned Fossil Museum, featured in David Attenboroughโ€™s recent BBC TV series about the origins of life on earth. After a short ride, we take a break to enjoy a cup of local tea at the foot of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in the Sahara. Time then for your next and unforgettable adventure: a 2-hours-trek with a camel to the heart of the desert, guided by a nomadic camel driver! Enjoy the splendour of colour on the dunes and the spectacle of light and shadow on the sand through the light of the setting sun. Breathtakingly beautiful!
