      Giza, The Pyramids & Saqqara

Today you are having a delicious breakfast with typical food. The route will begin through the most interesting points of interest in Cairo.

The Pyramids of Giza is the first place we will visit with our official English-speaker guide. You will amaze at the majesty of the Great Sphinx of Giza, the Great Pyramid of Giza, and the Pyramid of Khufu. This is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world still in existence. You can watch it from the main entrance esplanade and from closer.

Optionally, you can add the excursion to the Necropolis of Saqqara. Inside this World Heritage, the funerary complex of King Djoser stands out. This is a building built to honor the king in the afterlife. The Pyramid of Djoser is the first stone structure built in a pyramidal shape. It symbolizes the beginning of this type of construction in Egypt.

By night, you can hire a light show on the Giza Pyramids. You can also enjoy a unique dinner show in a floating restaurant on the Nile. Ask your travel assistant for more information.

Egyptian Museum, Historical Cairo, And Khan El-Khalili Souk

Start your day early after a delicious breakfast and continue your adventure with a full-day visit to Al-Qahira, also known as Cairo, which translates to "the Strong or Victorious" in English.

Your morning will kick off with a visit to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities located in the heart of the city. This museum houses numerous priceless artifacts that will captivate you, including Tutankhamunโ€™s treasure, sarcophagi, mummies, and incredibly beautiful sculptures.

Afterward, youโ€™ll enjoy a satisfying lunch and dive into the Coptic neighborhood to experience its diverse religious blend. Here, youโ€™ll visit the Hanging Church, built on the Babylon Fortress; the Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, also known as Abu Serga and believed to be a refuge for the Holy Family when they fled from Herod; and the Ben Ezra synagogue, one of the oldest synagogues in the country.

Next, youโ€™ll head to Historic Cairo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the domain of the Caliphs and their mosques since the 10th century. The Citadel of Saladin will stand out as a remarkable fortress, fortified centuries ago to defend against the Crusaders.

Before returning to your hotel, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to visit the Jan El Jalili bazaar, where you can test your negotiation skills and enjoy some free time.

The tour will lead to the exterior of the Great Mosque of Hassan II, a monumental and modern work (sliding roof and resistance to earthquakes) that holds the title of the third largest mosque in the world after Mecca and Medina (optionally, you can visit the inside). It is the most representative monument of the 20th century.

We will depart from Casablanca through the road and fertile valleys until we reach Meknes, a World Heritage Site and one of the four imperial cities along with Marrakesh, Fez, and Rabat, the former capital of Morocco.

You will visit the fortified city starting with its walls and great gates: Bab El Mansour Laalej, the largest gate in the country and North Africa; the Agdal pond, built for irrigation in the area; and the Lahdim Square, the epicenter of the cityโ€™s activity. Then you will have free time for lunch (optional).

Next, we will explore the Medina, also known as the Old Quarter. Here, weโ€™ll have the opportunity to visit the Madrasa Bou Inania, which is an Islamic school. Weโ€™ll also see the Nejjarine Fountain, one of the most beautiful fountains in the medina and the oldest in Fez.
