Day 1: Arrival in Irkutsk - Transfer to your hotel

Stop At: Irkutsk, Irkutsk, Irkutsk Oblast, Siberian District
Get ready to explore a typically Siberian and centuries-old merchant town center! Pass the remains of the Irkutsk Fortress and the Spasskaya Church, once part of the Irkutsk Kremlin. As the fortress developed, merchants settled in the city to exchange the riches of Siberia, mainly furs. Their wooden houses with sophisticated designs will take you back in time. Your journey through the centuries will take you to the house where the Decembrists, noble Russian rebels lived in exile, the building of the Museum of XIXth century history resembling a gingerbread, then to the tomb of Alexander Kolchak, the legendary general of the Russian Civil War.

Day 2: Taltsy Museum, chairlift breathtaking views of Lake Baikal and visit of Listvyanka

Climb by chairlift to the Pierre de Cherski which is an observation platform, located on the height of 728 meters above sea level. After climbing to the top of the mountain of the same name by funicular, you will discover this observation platform, which offers a picturesque panorama of Lake Baikal, the Angara river and the legendary Shaman stone. Listvyanka is an urban complex located 70 kilometers from Irkutsk, near the place where the Angara River separates from Lake Baikal. Despite its modest size, Listvyanka is one of the most important tourist sites in Siberia. This village has always been inhabited for 300 years and has even hosted a boat building workshop. During this excursion, you will see the Saint Nicolas Church, built in the XIX century.

Day 3: From Listvyanka to Olkhon

Transfer to Khuzhir village on Orklon Island: You will cross frozen Lake Baikal on the hovercraft โ€œKhivusโ€ in Pestchanaรฏa Bay. Khivus is one of the best and most typical means of transportation on Lake Baikal. Capable of reaching 70 km / h, this vehicle operates not only on water but also when the lake is frozen, which is the case almost all the time.
