If you want to hike only with a day pack, you can hire a personal porter for US$180, for all 4 days and he will carry a maximum of 10kg โ€“ 20 pounds; including your sleeping bag. You must decide about this and let us Know ASAP to buy the extra porterโ€™s ticket too

  • Day 1 Arriving In Lima

      Upon arrival at any time reception, assistance, and transfer to the selected hotel

      - You are in charge of arriving in Lima by plane at any time. Our Services start in Lima and finish in Cusco

  • Day 2 Lima City Tour - Arequipa

      Lima City Tour - Arequipa

      In the morning a trip to the essential Lima, โ€œThe City of Kingsโ€ including the most important architectural icons of the city, such as the Main Square, where you can find the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishopโ€™s Palace. Then, we continue with a visit to the San Francisco Convent, an architectonic jewel dating back to the 16th century. 

      After 3 pm transportation to the airport to take the flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival reception, assistance, and transfer to the selected hotel.

  • Day 3 Arequipa โ€“ Colca

      Arequipa โ€“ Colca

      Early morning drive from Arequipa to Chivay trough the Aguada Blanca National Reserve where you will observe Vicuรฑas wandering on the high plateau. On the way we will enjoy nice views of the Volcanoes: Misti, Chachani and Ampato. In the afternoon take a hike and visit the Calera Hotsprings (entrance fees not included). Overnight Colca Valley.

  • Day 4 Colca Canyon โ€“ Puno

      Colca Canyon โ€“ Puno

      Tour of the Colca Canyon: Early departure to the Cruz del Condor site, the best place to admire the Colca Canyon and the Condorโ€™s flight. On the way it is possible to appreciate archaeological remains, Incan terraces still on use and typical towns like Maca, Achoma and Yanque. After Lunch bus ride from Chivay to Puno, (5-6 hours), Overnight Puno.

  • Day 5 Titicaca Lake
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Titicaca Lake

      Full day excursion to the beautiful Titicaca Lake , the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the Floating Islands made of Totora reeds: Uros with the population that still live as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. Later visit the Taquile island a remarkable community also with a great ethnic and cultural value; with the best weavers in the region. Quechua, the language of the Incas is kept alive and the islanders preserve their traditional very old costumes and treat visitors in a very welcoming fashion. Pm return to the hotel in Puno. (B, L)

  • Day 6 Puno - Cusco

      Puno - Cusco

      This day you will have a bus ride with guided visits or you can choose to ride on the PERURAIL TITICACA train without ANY tours and an EXTRA cost of US$250 per person. Train only available on: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

      Bus ride from Cusco to Puno visiting on the way the Pucara Museum, the temple of Wiracocha or Raqchi (a very impressive Inca site) and a very beautiful chapel: Andahuaylillas; known as Sistine chapel of South America. You will also have other stops for lunch & photos. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco.

  • Day 7 Cusco

      Free morning to visit the city and its museums: Inca, Preculumbian Art & The Machupicchu Museum.

      Afternoon Combined tour; visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay.

      Note: Whenever it will be possible; to avoid the crowds and in the high season we will program this tour in the morning.

  • Day 8 Sacred Valley: Pisac Ruins, Market & Ollantaytambo

      Sacred Valley: Pisac Ruins, Market & Ollantaytambo

      Visit PISAC located right at the entrance to the Sacred Valley, the amazing Inca city that constitutes one of the most important Archaeological Parks in the region. Visit the fine temples, palaces and the well preserved and vast farming terraces; built even as far as the edge of precipices that still keep their straight sometimes vertical aqueducts; an imposing and unforgettable sight that also offers very beautiful landscapes.

      Pisac Ruins

      Visit PISAC the Colonial Village, where you will see the famous "Indian Market" and the handicrafts or "souvenirs" market, this is your chance to enjoy a blend of color, traditions and people, and bargain for exotic craftworks.

      After Lunch at Urubamba Village, tour to the oldest continuously inhabited dwellings in South America, where people are still living in the same houses and palaces as 500 years ago; the ancient Incan town of OLLANTAYTAMBO, with its very impressive constructions built with huge boulders and its ancient heritage that will leave us astonished. Overnight Ollantaytambo.

      Note: The Pisac Market is everyday, on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays is bigger but more crowded; not so good for visiting the ruins in Pisac and Ollantaytambo and for photos

      INCA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU: You MUST be in good shape

      Please note that this is a typical itinerary which may change depending on the group size and availability of camp sites assigned by the government. Alternative campsites may be used.

  • Day 9 Ollantaytambo โ€“ Wayllabamba

      Ollantaytambo โ€“ Wayllabamba

      Early morning pick up from your Hotel and transfer by bus to the kilometer 82, where we meet the porters and cooks and start to hike with amazing landscapes of the snow-capped peaks. We pass near the Inca town of Llactapata, and after lunch continue following the Kusichaca River upstream until Wayllabamba, a very typical Andean Village and the last settlement on the Inca Trail before reaching Machupicchu.

      Distance: 12 km - 7.5 miles

  • Day 10 Wayllabamba โ€“ Pacaymayu

      After Breakfast we go uphill for 4-5 hours towards Warmiwaรฑuska pass (dead womanโ€™s pass), this day will be the hardest because we get to this highest pass (4200 mts โ€“ 13780 ft), after having amazing views from the pass we start our way down to get to the Pacaymayo valley for lunch, and camp.

      Distance: 12 km - 7.5 miles.

  • Day 11 Pacaymayu โ€“ Winayhuayna

      Pacaymayu โ€“ Winayhuayna

      This day will be the longest, but considered the most beautiful part of the trail, on the way up to the 2nd pass we visit the semicircular archeological remain of Runkurakay. Walking over the original Inca Trail paved with flagstones we pass through the elfin forest where we see many orchids and other exotic endemic plants and birds. From the pass, we again have a spectacular landscape of the cloud forest and some snow-capped mountains around. On the way down we will visit the Inca site of Sayaqmarka located on a rocky promontory. Our trek continues through the cloud forest with vines, exotic vegetation (a big variety of Orchids, ferns. tree ferns, mosses, etc) and luxuriant trees and birds. After lunch, and a visit of the ruins of Phuyupatamarca, we start the long way down until Wiรฑaywayna, were we will visit and other fascinating Inca citadel and camp.

      Distance: 15 km - 9.5 miles.

  • Day 12 Winayhuayna - Machupicchu

      Winayhuayna - Machupicchu

      After a very early breakfast and a somewhat easy walk, we will arrive at Inti Punku (the Sun Gate) for the sunrise, also we will enjoy the first fantastic view of the โ€œLost City of the Incasโ€: Machupicchu; set up over a grandiose spot with astounding landscapes around. After taking many pictures, we walk downhill to arrive and visit Machupicchu.

      After the guided visit you can go to the town of Aguas Calientes to rest at the hotel or relax in the hot springs.

  • Day 13 Machupicchu โ€“ Huaynapicchu - Cusco
    • 12:00 am - 11:59 pm

      Machupicchu โ€“ Huaynapicchu - Cusco

      On your own, early visit of Machupicchu; to spot the amazing sunrise and take the optional short hikes to Huaynapicchu Peak (2 hours) & the temple of the Moon or Montana Machupicchu (3 hours) and the Inca Bridge. Afternoon return to Ollantaytambo by train (1 1/2 hours) and transfer by bus to the hotel in Cusco. (1 1/2 hours).

      NOTE: If you are interested in climbing to Huaynapicchu or Montana Machupicchu the entrance fees are included but you have to let us know in advance, we must buy tickets ASAP, there is a short limit per day.
